Analysis of Material What:The text contains two discourses:a letter for help Wanda letter that gives advice.In the former one,the protagonist Ben confided to his friend because he was dissatisfied with the performance of the point guard in the basketball game,but the friend did not keep the sec rd and told his words to all the team members,which made him very embarrassed and disinterested fact,he just wanted to release his emotions.However,his friend's behavior made him in a very embarrassing situation and he was at a loss,so he wrote to "Agony Aunt"for help.In the suggestion letter,Agony Aunt first quoted "Loose dips sink ships"to help Ben analyze the problem and find the causes of the problem,and put forward three suggestions for repairing interpersonal relationship.At the same time, Agony Aunt tells Ben the basic concept of interpersonal relationship and emotional management -"Think before we speak"
Why:Authoress ho pesto guide students to pay attention to and think about issues among interpersonal interaction through Ben's experience,and be able to rationally deal with contradictions and conflicts in interpersonal communication.The suggestions given by Agony Aunt aim to lead students how to deal with conflicts properly,so that embody the theme meaning of "good interpersonal relationship and social communication"
How:The type of the text is letter the first letter,it describes Ben's problem and presents the letter in the context of the opening point -stating the problem -asking for help again,so that students can clearly understand the protagonist's problem and to whom he asks for help.In the second letter,the author develops the letter with the structure of confirming the problem/analyzing the reasons-giving suggestions -summarizing,so that students know how to make suggestions and how to deal with the problems in interpersonal communication.
Analysis of Learners The students in this class have certain foundation in English,but the level varies greatly among students,and most of the students are introverted.The class atmosphere totally dull,so we should pay attention to encourage students.But most students are serious and are familiar with interpersonal topics and have personal experiences,but they are often at a loss for interpersonal conflicts.Students have accumulated vocabularies and expressions related to this topic in previous study,but they are still lacking in the knowledge of analyzing discourses.Students actually have basically acquired the ability to obtain text details,but the ability to analyze and express opinions still needs to be further improved.Although students master basic reading skills such as skimming and caring,they still cannot understand the specific expressions in the text with the help of context.

Teaching Reflection In brief,there are some shining points of this lesson.Firstly,students improve their reading skills by finding out the details and structures of the two letters Secondly,students think deeply and critically to make a mind map of the strategies how to give help in the letter.Lastly,teacher guides students to get the principles of handling interpersonal relations correctly,and establish good interpersonal relations with others by communicating.However,there are some disadvantages of this lesson Students haven't enough onetime think and express their ideas.Besides,activities area little difficult for students so that they can't finish well.In the future,I will avoid these problems and do better
