现在进行时的用法 (教材P48)
(1) 肯定句:主语+ be动词+动词的现在分词(+其他).
(2) 否定句:在肯定句中的be动词之后直接加not。
(3) 一般疑问句:将be动词提至句首,末尾改为问号。
(4) 特殊疑问句:① 对主语提问。如:
Miss Wang is looking for juice.
→ Who is looking for juice?
② 对谓语部分提问。如:
They are talking about Chinese festivals.
→ What are they doing?
1. 表示现在时间的标志词: now、 at present等。
2. 有些祈使句表示提醒,用现在进行时。如: Be quiet! The baby is sleeping.
3. 当句中有look、 listen等词时,用现在进行时。
4. 某些特殊动词不能用现在进行时。
(1) 当have意为“有,拥有”时,不能用现在进行时。如:
I have two dogs now.
(2) 表示心理活动的词,不能用现在进行时。如:
I want a dog now.
5. now有时用于强调时间,并不代表有now就一定用现在进行时。如:
Go home now!

(2023·淮安)用所给词的适当形式填空。
Mike     (chat) on the Internet with his grandparents now.
解析:由now可知,此句时态为现在进行时,主语Mike是第三人称单
数,故be动词用is。
答案: is chatting

现在分词的构成规则 (教材P48)
现在分词的构成规则为:
(1) 一般在动词词尾直接加-ing。如:
watch→watching help→helping
(2) 以不发音的e结尾的动词,先去e,再加-ing。如:
live→living make→making
(3) 以重读闭音节结尾的动词,末尾只有一个辅音字母(最后一
个字母不是x),先双写这个辅音字母,再加-ing。如:
swim→swimming chat→chatting

解析:根据“Don’t talk loudly!”可知,下句应该用现在进行时,主语

现在进行时的一般疑问句的用法 (教材P58)
现在进行时的陈述句改为一般疑问句:把be动词提至句首,句末用
问号。如果陈述句中有some,则在一般疑问句中要改成any,如果有第
一人称要改成第二人称。其答句为“Yes, ...am/is/are.”或
“No, ... am/is/are not.”。如:

potato、 tomato的用法 (教材P58)
potato和tomato的复数形式均是在词尾加-es。有生命的以o结尾的
名词变复数时,在词尾加-es。类似的词还有hero(英雄)等。
【典例精析】
(2024·无锡梁溪区)根据中文提示填空。
The     (西红柿) soup smells nice and the meat with     
(土豆) tastes good.
解析:修饰soup需用可数名词的单数,“土豆烧肉”可译为the meat
with potatoes。
答案: tomato; potatoes

序数词的构成规则 (教材P74)
(1) 序数词1~19除了first、 second、 third为特殊形式外,其余基
本都是由基数词后面加-th构成。
(2) 有几个基数词加-th改为序数词时写法不规则,它们是
fifth、 eighth、 ninth和twelfth。
(3) 除10以外的整十数序数词的构成方法是先将整十数基数词词
尾的y变为ie,再加-th,如: twenty→twentieth、 ninety→ninetieth。
(4) 基数词中20以上的“几十几”变成序数词时,只要把个位数
变成序数词,十位数不变,如: thirty-two→thirty-second。
(5) 序数词也有相应的缩写形式,由阿拉伯数字后加序数词的最
后两个字母构成,如: 1st、 2nd、 3rd、 4th、 65th。
基数词变序数词口诀
基变序,有规律。
一、二、三,单独记,词尾各是t、 d、 d。
-th,四加起。八减t,九去e。
遇到ve, f替, ty变为tie。
若想表示几十几,只变个位就可以。
