“Ne Zha 2,” is a new animated movie from China, and will soon be shown in movie theaters across Europe. It starts showing in the U.K. and Ireland on March 21, with previews beginning March 14.
The Chinese animated epic “Ne Zha 2” has made history as the highest-grossing(票房最高) animated film worldwide, surpassing “Inside Out 2,” and becoming the first non-Hollywood production to crack the global all-time top 10 box office chart. The movie is based on old Chinese stories, but it tells them in a more modern way. It also has lots of impressive animation. A team of 4,000 people worked on it for five years. One battle scene had 200 million characters that were all animated separately.

Children in England will no longer be able to buy energy drinks. The UK government has made plans to ban (禁止) the sale of energy drinks to kids. It is now asking for public suggestions about what age the ban should start at (16 or 18) , the BBC reported.
An energy drink is a kind of drink that has stimulants, such as caffeine. Red Bull is one of the most famous energy drinks. The makers of these drinks say that they can give you energy when you feel tired.
However, these drinks have very high levels of sugar and caffeine. Energy drinks have 65 percent more sugar than normal soft drinks. This may explain why obesity rates (肥胖率) have risen among children.Too much caffeine can lead to health problems, such as headaches and sleeplessness. A 250 ml can of Red Bull contains about 80 mg of caffeine, three times the level of a can of Coca-Cola, BBC noted.
In the UK, more than two-thirds of 10-to-17-year-olds buy energy drinks, according to the government, "Childhood obesity is one of the greatest health challenge this country faces. It's important that we do all we can to make sure children have the best start in life," UK Prime Minister Theresa May said in a statement.
The ban would apply to drinks having more than 150 mg of caffeine per liter. Under the ban, shops in England that sell the drinks to children would face fines of 2 500(22 070 yuan).

Every year on March 15, people around the world celebrate World Consumer Rights Day to protect the rights of buyers and ensure fair treatment in markets. This day reminds everyone-governments, businesses, and consumers to work together for safer, fairer, and more sustainable shopping experiences.
The idea originated in 1962 when U.S.President John F. Kennedy introduced four basic consumer rights: safety, information, choice, and the right to be heard. Over time, additional rights such as privacy and environmental protection were added. Since 1983, March 15 has officially been a day to promote these rights globally.
In China, the first consumer organization was established in 1983, and China joined the International Consumer Union in 1987. Since then, China has made great progress in protecting consumer rights. In 1991, China Central Television (CCTV) started the annual "3.15 Gala", a TV program that exposes fake products and unfair business practices. This show has become a powerful tool to raise awareness and hold companies accountable.
The theme for 2025, "Building a Satisfactory Consumption Environment", focuses on cooperation between consumers, businesses, and the government to address issues such as fake advertisements, unsafe products, and risks associated with new shopping trends like live-streaming sales. For example, in Changde, Hunan, a press conference was held to report on consumer protection progress, while Ganzhou offered free food safety tests to raise awareness about health risks. Consumers in China are granted nine key rights under the law, including the right to safety, fair prices, compensation for harm, and respect for privacy. To protect these rights, people are encouraged to report problems through hot lines like 12315 or online platforms.
World Consumer Rights Day isn't just about rules—it's about action. As Kennedy once said, protecting consumers helps build trust and growth for everyone. Let's make every day a day of fair and safe shopping!

An old saying used for forecasting the weather says, "Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. "Is the saying true It turns out that it is. A red sky at sunset may mean that there are clear skies to the west, where the sun sets. A red sky at sunrise usually means that the clear weather has already passed, so storms might be coming.
Forecasting the weather has been practiced for thousands of years. In the 5th century BC, the Greeks sent out forecasts to sailors. They used signs in nature to forecast the weather. But today, meteorologists send exact forecasts further in advance. They use scientific instruments to study weather conditions around the world and make forecasts. Pilots, farmers and many other people depend on these forecasts. Luckily, most of us can simply look on the smart phone or turn on the TV to find out what kind of weather is coming.
If you are looking for some signs of the weather, pay attention to nature. There are two basic rules used in weather forecasting: Weather generally moves from west to east, and low air pressure usually means rain or snow. So pay attention to the signs. If rainbows form in the west at sunrise, the sun is on the way. Smell the flowers — their smells are stronger in wet air. What are the ants doing Are they moving to higher ground This could mean a drop in air pressure. Are the birds flying low or high Falling air pressure may influence birds' ears, so they fly low. And if the sky is red at sunset, you might plan a picnic for the next day!
47.What does the underlined word " meteorologists" in paragraph 2 mean
A. The persons who give daily weather reports on TV.
B. The persons who carry out research on natural history.
C. The persons who take an interest in plants and animals.
D. The persons who do scientific studies of weather conditions.
48.How does the writer develop his idea in Paragraph 2
A. By listing the reasons for terrible weather.
B. By telling a true story about weather forecasting.
C. By introducing different ways of forecasting the weather.
D. By mentioning the difficulties in forecasting the weather.
49. What do we know from the last paragraph
A. It’ll be sunny if ants move to higher places.
B. The smells of flowers are stronger in wet air.
C. Birds fly higher because of the low air pressure.
D. It'll rain if rainbows form in the west at sunrise.
50. What is the writer's purpose in writing the text
A. To encourage people to get close to nature.
B. To express the need for weather forecasting.
C. To explain nature can tell us about the weather.
D. To discuss how important weather forecasting is.

Exploring Mars
On 23 July 2020, China's first Mars lander, Tianwen-1, was sent into space from Wenchang, Hainan Island. The spacecraft takes its name from an ancient poem by Qu Yuan (340-278 BCE). "Tianwen" means "Questions to Heaven" and expresses China's determination to explore the universe. Mars has interested people for thousands of years. Around 3,000 years ago, in ancient China, people already knew about the planet and began to study how it moved in the sky. However, it was difficult to find out more about it before the 20th century. Thanks to the work of scientists, we have learnt a lot about Mars. Spacecraft like Tianwen-1 will help us find out more about our red neighbour.
After travelling more than 470 million kilometers, Tianwen-1 reached the red planet on 10 February 2021. The craft circled around the planet for three months before landing on the surface on 15 May. There, it released a 240-kilogram rover named Zhurong.
During the next 100 days, Zhurong drove 1,000 meters on the 20 planet's surface and continued its travel. It took photos of Mars and studied different kinds of rocks, and then it sent the information back to the Earth.
The success of Tianwen-1 is only the beginning of China's Mars exploration programme. Maybe one day Chinese astronauts will visit Mars.

Getting Close to Nature
Last spring, my classmates and I went on a field trip to a nearby forest. As we hiked along the winding paths, the fresh smell of earth and the songs of birds filled the air. We observed butterflies dancing among wildflowers and even spotted a squirrel darting up a tree.
That day, I realized how peaceful and alive nature feels. Away from screens and noise, my mind became clearer. Nature teaches us patience and appreciation for small wonders. Whether it’s a walk in the park or planting a tree, every moment outdoors refreshes both body and soul. Let’s step outside and cherish the beauty around us!
Getting Close to Nature
Last month, our class went on a field trip to Green Valley Park. It was my first time experiencing nature so closely.
Early in the morning, we followed our science teacher along a forest trail. The air smelled fresh after the rain. We saw squirrels jumping between trees and colorful butterflies flying around wildflowers. Our teacher showed us how to identify different plants and insects. The most exciting part was when we found a bird's nest with three blue eggs in a tree!
At noon, we had a picnic near a clear stream. Sitting on the soft grass, listening to the water and birds singing, I felt completely relaxed. It was so different from being in the classroom or playing video games at home.
This trip taught me that nature is full of wonders. Spending time outdoors not only helps us learn but also makes us happier and healthier. I now understand why we should protect our environment - to keep these beautiful things for future generations.
