1. 由一个音节构成的词称为单音节词。单音节词总是重读,但音标中不标出重音符号。如:cat /k t/、desk /desk/ 、should / d/。
2. 由两个音节构成的词称为双音节词。由三个或三个以上音节构成的单词称为多音节词。在双音节或多音节词中,总有一个音节读得重而强(重读音节),其余的音节读得轻而弱。重读音节用符号“ ”表示。如:interest/ ntr st/、about / ba t/、afraid / fre d/。
3. 有的单词有两个重读音节,包括一个重读音节和一个次重读音节。次重读音节用符号“ ”表示。
如:understand / nd st nd/、violin/ va l n/ 、information / nf (r) me ( )n/。

1. 情态动词 "may" 表示可能性
原句: “They may love to play the same sports as you.”
用法: “may” 表示推测(可能),比 “must” 更弱,比 “might” 更强。
例句:

2 the same as 表示“与……相同”

用法: "the same + 名词 + as" 表示两者相同。
