There are many reasons why this has been possible, but one of the main factors has been the Chinese writing system.Para 1: The Chinese writing system is one of the reasons why Chinese civilisation has survived into modern times.Para 2At the beginning, written Chinese was a picture-based language. It dates back several thousand years to the use of longgu ― animal bones and shells on which symbols were carved by ancient Chinese people. Some of the ancient symbols can still be seen in today’s hanzi.Para 2: Written Chinese was a picture-based language carved on longgu at the beginning.Para 3By the Shang Dynasty (around 1600—1046 BCE), these symbols had become a well-developed writing system. Over the years, the system developed into different forms, as it was a time when people were divided geographically, leading to many varieties of dialects and characters. This, however, changed under Emperor Qinshihuang of the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BCE).Para 3: The writing system became well-developed, and later developed into different forms.Analysis of teaching materialAnalysis of studentsLearning objectivesKey and difficult pointsTeaching and learning methodsTeaching proceduresTeaching reflectionBlackboard designactivity-based approachcooperative learning methodinquiry-based learning methodAnalysis of teaching materialAnalysis of studentsLearning objectivesKey and difficult pointsTeaching and learning methodsTeaching proceduresTeaching reflectionBlackboard design01020305040607Lead-inReflectionHomeworkSummaryPost-readingWhile-readingPre-reading田山犬羊鼎Activity 1- Guessing.Activity 2: Prediction. The Chinese Writing System:Connecting the Past and the PresentWhat will be talked about in the text Development History …Activity 3-Read for main idea and structure.①②③④⑤⑥_________________of the Chinese writing system________________of the topic_______________of the Chinese writing systemThe development/historyThe importanceThe introductionTime orderthe Pastthe PresentApart from Chinese character, what other factors can be used to pass down the Chinese civilization ThinkingPeking opraPaper cuttingChinese KongfuApart from Chinese character, what other factors can be used to pass down the Chinese civilization ThinkingTraditional Chinese medicinePoemConfucian cultureToday, the Chinese writing system is still an important part of Chinese culture.
