教材 分析 本单元涉及的内容是人类与自然和谐相处。通过介绍英国人对花园的热爱和英国的水果茶及花草茶文化，通过主题句，重塑关键信息等技巧的学习，帮助学生完成概要写作，并在此过程中帮助学生了解人类生活与大自然的相关性。

Step1 Leading-in 1.Tell students that our school newspaper launches a column and asks students to write a summary to introduce the following pictures 2.Guide students to think what a summary is and how to write it. 通过创设情境，为输出 做驱动，让学生积极动 脑怎么去写一篇summary。三张图片的主题也加深了学生对本单元主题理解。
Step2： Read for the topic sentences 1. Guide students to know what the topic sentences are and how to find out them. 2. Guide students to know what supporting sentences are and the relationship between topic sentences and supporting details. Learning tip: When you choose a topic sentence, you should pay attention to the logic(逻辑) ,the key words(关键词)and the adversative(转折词). 1. 通 过 choose topic sentences 让学生知道什 么 是 topic sentences 及 它的作用和功能。 2. 通过对文本的分析知 道 supporting details 和 topic sentences 的关系
Step3： How to reconstruct the key information 1.Guide students to know how to reconstruct the key information. ①The book the Secret garden started British love for gardening. Gardening is becoming more and more popular. ②The book the Secret garden started British love for gardening. Gardening is gaining popularity period by period. 2.Guide students to analyse the key information and use another way to express them. Learning tip: reconstruct by summarizing, replacing words or using sentence patterns you are familiar with. 1. 学习 reconstruct 关键 信息的方法。 2. 以第一段为例分析怎 么去 reconstruct 关键信 息。学生 reconstruct 剩 下的段落，查看学生的理解程度，及运用语言的能力。
Step4: Share your work and make it better 1. Guide students to talk with partner then share their work. Talk with your partner and share your work The book the Secret garden started British love for gardening. Gardening is gaining popularity period by period. For many people in the UK, their garden is their own private world. They enjoy different activities in their gardening. But limited space in cities has made people look for new solutions, including renting small pieces and turning rooftops and walls into private gardens. Apart from environment benefits, gardening is also good for the soul. 2. Guide students to better their writing by adding linking words. 1. 通过展示学生改写的句子，分析学生句子的优点及不足。并思考怎么该能更好。 2. 知道 linking words的作用
Step 5: Writing Ask students to underline the key information in the passage, then write a summary by reconstructing and adding linking words. 学以致用，及时发现学 生问题。
Step6: Group work 1. Ask students to choose the best version in their group and give the reasons, according to the assessment criteria. Fruit and herbal teas British people love to make tea with fruit and herbs. Such a habit is so popular that many people plant easy-to –grow herbs in their own tea gardens. There are many flavours of fruit and herbal teas, including traditional lemon and ginger, as well as many unusual flavours such as mango, strawberry, apple , pear, blackberry leaf and dandelion. Besides, Herbal tea has various health benefits. Some can help people relax, and some , like ginger tea, are good for the immune system, while others, such as mint tea, are beneficial for digestion 2.Guide student to assess an writing from Content, Language and structure. 根据给出的评价标准，学生在小组内评出 the best version 并给出评价 理由。
Step7： Homework Ask students to write a summary of Longji Rice Terrace and search more information about gardening in the UK and traditions of fruit and herbal tea. 巩固所学，开阔视野， 加深对本单元话题的理 解。
