【词汇辨析】
awake 与 wake
awake adj.醒着。用在连系动词后作表语,不能用 very修饰,但可用 wide/ fully 修饰。 【注意】awake也可作定语,但只能后置。 I couldn't get up, but I was wide awake.我起不来,但我完全清醒。 Mary was the only girl awake at that time. 玛丽是当时唯一醒着的女孩。
v.醒来;唤醒。不能与 up连用。 A great noise awoke the child. 一声巨响把孩子吵醒了。
wake v.醒来;唤醒。常与 up连用。wake up醒来;唤醒,代词作宾语时要放在 wake up中间。 I always wake up at six every morning. 我总是每天早晨六点醒来。
