(第四课时教学设计)
一、教材分析
1. 教学内容
本课时系教材《英语3(基础模块)》(高教版)第二单元的第四课时,即vocabulary practice和 unit task部分。通过练习让学生在熟练掌握本单元的关于银行服务项目名称和相关 指令语的同时,教会学生一种词汇学习策略——通过词汇网有效记忆单词。最后学生运用本单 元所学的语言知识完成一个真实的任务,即设计一个用户手册。
2. 教学重点、难点
(1) 教学重点
1) 学生能熟练掌握本单元的关于银行服务项目名称和相关指令语的词汇和短语。
2) 学生能运用本单元所学的语言知识设计一个银行用户手册。
(2) 教学难点
1) 学生能在具体的语境中正确使用本单元词汇,咨询银行业务并为客人提供服务。
2) 学生能合作完成银行用户手册。
二、教学目标
1. 知识目标
学生能熟练掌握运用下列银行服务项目名称和指令语: cash a check, open a savings account, fin in application form, deposit 10 yuan, draw money from the ATM, exchange money, insert the card, sign your name。
2. 能力目标
学生在讨论、合作过程中能听懂客人要办理的银行业务名称和咨询内容,能给出办理银行 业务的指令,写出并看懂银行用户手册。
3. 情感目标
学生在练习和任务执行中感受到成功的快乐。
三、教学步骤
Step I Vocabulary practice
1. Discuss and complete. (Activity 19)
At the beginning of the class, the teacher says, “In this unit, we have learned different
bank services. Can you tell us the items of service and instructions ” Then the teacher asks several students to write any words they can remember on the board. The whole class checks the answers. The teacher asks, “Do you have an easy way to remember these words ” Asking several students for their ideas, the teacher introduces the learning strategy on page 32 in the book. Knowing the strategy, students work in pairs and discuss to complete the word net on page 32 in the book. Then the teacher asks several students to check the answers.
(设计意图:通过常用单词记忆方法和词汇网图式学习方法的比较,帮助学生发现词汇 间的联系,学会一种词汇学习策略,更有效地记忆本单元的词汇。)
2. Read and complete. (Activity 20)
Students choose the right words or expressions to complete the sentences individually. Then students check the answers each other.
(设计意图:通过选词填空让学生熟练掌握并运用本单元重点词汇和短语,为后面的应 用练习做准备。)
3. Read and complete. (Activity 21)
Students read and complete the dialogue by themselves, and the teacher asks several students to read out the dialogue to check the answers.
(设计意图:以完成对话的形式,加强学生的词汇实际应用能力。)
Step II Unit Task
1. pre-task
The teacher says, “We have known the different bank services and instructions. Now suppose you are now working in a bank in your community. They ask you to make a brochure to introduce to customers. ” Then students work in a group of 3 students. Each member of the group is responsible for one job:
Student A: is responsible for writing;
Student B: is responsible for designing the simple picture to make the brochure special; Student C: is responsible for showing and introducing the brochure.
(设计意图:教师布置任务,并对组内每个学生进行分工,以免小组活动变为个人行 为,为设计用户手册的顺利完成做好准备。)
2. while-task
1) Students discuss in groups and complete the information card about their own bank.

3. post-task
The teacher invites several groups to show and introduce their brochures. At last the whole class vote for the best one and evaluate every student in the group according to the following form.

Step III Homework
1. Find more brochures.
Students find more brochures and compare with their own ones to see if there is any possibility to improve their brochures.
(设计意图:与现实生活中的银行指南手册进行比较,看是否可以进行改进使自己制作
的手册更加有现实意义。)
