T shows the pictures of World Environment Day and World Water Day. Ss guess what special days the pictures show and what people do in the pictures. 激活背景知识,铺垫重点词汇。 猜测图片所展示的环境保护日并说出图中人们正在做的事情。2. T shows some names of famous environmental days around the world and asks Ss to pick two for the ones shown in the pictures. Ss tell their answers and give reasons. T asks Ss to guess from the context the meaning of the underlined words in following sentences: 1) First observed in 1974, it has become a major campaign for raising awareness on environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to excessive consumption and wildlife crime. 2) World Water Day is observed each year on 22 March to promote the responsible use of water and access to safe water for everyone. 3) It was a call for action to stop air pollution which has become a global issue now. 4) The first World Water Day, designated by the United Nations, was commemorated in 1993. T gives the hint that some underlined words are used to replace the words which are similar in meaning and some can be easily understood by reading the examples listed afterwards. T shows pictures of areas and foreign people in the world that are suffering from the environmental issues mentioned in the text. T asks Ss to work in groups to brainstorm what they can do in daily life to help these areas and people. Ss share their answers in class after the group discussion and T lists them on the board. 将本课语言知识与实际生活结合,回顾复习并拓展更多的力所能及的环保措施来践行两大环境保护日理念,帮助学生形成环境保护的国际视野,积极感受作为世界公民落实环保理念、履行环保职责的重大意义。 通过小组合作讨论出生活中力所能及的环保措施来帮助全世界遭受环境问题困扰的人民和地区,在全班进行分享。2. As a summary, T leads Ss to go through the board writing of information of two environmental days as well as the brainstormed ways and measures. T reminds Ss to keep down the brainstormed ways and measures on their notebooks. 培养学生及时小结重点内容并利用板书和笔记进行高效学习的习惯。 回顾语篇要点并在笔记本上记录重点内容。Fun Time 7’ T shows two examples of sentence rhythm and reads them for Ss, tapping at the desk for stressed syllables and raising up the hand for unstressed syllables.
