教学目标 1. 能够听懂并识读与大数据相关的词句；能够理解不同类型的图表在数据分析中的功能。 2. 能够听懂与数据分析相关的对话的主题及大意；能够谈论与数据分析相关的话题。 3.能够分析不同图表在数据分析中的功能异同并根据实际需求合理选择图表，实现知识和思维能力的迁移。 4.能够通过书籍、网络、广告等多种途径自觉收集生活中与大数据相关的单词或表达；能够利用图表收集、整理信息；增强自主学习意识和能力。
教学重点 1. 能够听懂并识读与大数据相关的单词或表达，如sales department, clerk, conduct, market survey, comprehensive, carry out, data analysis, identify problem等。 2. 能够运用目标词句谈论与数据分析相关的话题。
教学难点 能够结合专业所学和自身实际，恰当运用search engine, analysis report, product reviews, market survey, identify problems等表达数据分析的作用。

While-listening 18’ 1. With T’s help, Ss learn and read the words in Activity One correctly, then work in groups to guess the subject of the dialogue in Activity Two. 带领学生学习并正确识读新单词。引导学生通过词汇预测对话主题，自然铺垫与后续听力任务相关的预备知识。 正确、清晰朗读单词及表达，预测听力对话的主题。
2. Based on the recording, Ss listen to the dialogue between Steve and Luna and check their predictions. 训练学生把握大意的听力策略。 准确获取听力材料的主题及大意。
3. Ss listen again and catch the main idea in Activity Two. 反复精听材料内容，正确、清晰、流利朗读对话。 正确捕捉听力材料中与主题相关的表达。

10. Ss listen again and choose the right pictures in Activity Four and compare the differences among the four kinds of data presentations. 培养学生提取与主题相关的关键信息的能力，引导学生通过比较以辨析四种数据表达方式的异同。
Post-listening 12’ 1. Ss are encouraged to work in groups to brainstorm more words and expressions about big data. 引导学生头脑风暴以丰富词汇库，为语言输出奠定基础。 形成语义网络，快速归纳和整理与大数据相关的词汇。
2. Ss are encouraged to work in pairs to find and discuss more ways of data presentations. 语言输出活动与学生专业和生活经验密切相关，具有现实交流的意义，提升学生在真实环境中的语用能力。 调用适合的学习资源，开展符合要求的语言交际活动，讨论更多数据呈现的方法。
3. Based on Ss’ own majors, Ss’ hold a sharing session on data presentation. 搭建真实的口语输出的平台，让学生在小组合作中讨论、辨析、内化所学知识，提升综合运用语言的能力，培养学生的合作意识和思辨意识。 进行现场面对面的语言交流，实现语言交互。
Summary & Homework 2’ Summary: According to what Ss have learned today, Ss try to sort out the knowledge points. Homework: Ss collect more words and expressions related to big data.
