教学目标 1. 能够恰当地使用所学词汇、句型描述职场安全标识、安全隐患等；能够正确理解与职场安全规定相关的文章内容 2. 能够通过思考，对职场行为和安全风险做出正确的分析、判断，实现知识和思维能力的迁移；能够认识到职场安全的重要性，树立安全防范意识。 3. 能够对比国内外在职场安全规定和安全事故应急处理方面的异同；能够认识到对安全零事故的追求是国际社会共同努力的目标和方向。 4. 能够自觉了解工科类职业的职场安全规定；能够运用恰当的学习方法，利用主题句归纳信息，总结要点；能够借助教材中的“My Progress Check”环节监控、评价、反思和调整自己的学习内容和进程，养成良好的英语学习习惯。
教学重点 1. 能够提高安全意识，能应用所学，理解、分析、判断职场行为是否存在风险，描述风险点。 2. 能够根据需要，正确选择安全装备
教学难点 学生能够根据文本结构特征，理解安全事故处理的短文，拓展提高安全处置能力，理解国际性的安全体系和文化。

Activity 1 5’ 1. T asks Ss to match signs in Activity One to corresponding explanations in groups. 培养团队合作能力，增加学生兴趣。 快速准确的完成配对。

Activity 2 5’ 1. T uses pictures to help Ss review the PPE of construction workers and introduces some new words such as earmuffs, helmet, safety glasses, vest, gloves, safety boots. T guides Ss to pay attention to phases like “ protect…from…” as a way to link the equipment with potential dangers. e.g. Earmuffs can protect you from loud noise. 用图片引导学生复习建筑工人的安全装备,学习并应用与安全设备相关的新单词，引导学生了解安全设备的作用，为下一步的判断选择练习奠定基础。 理解并应用目标词汇。
2. Ss understand the situation and help Peter to choose the correct equipment. 帮助学生理解情景设置，引导学生运用观察、分析和判断等方法选择正确的安全装备。 正确选择安全装备。
Activity 3 8’ 1. Ss read through the behaviors in Activity Three fast and decide whether they are correct or not. 培养学生快速阅读、提取主旨大意的阅读能力和逻辑思辨能力。 正确判断职场行为的安全性。
2. T helps Ss find and understand the core words in each sentence. Then T asks Ss to discuss strategies correcting the wrong behaviors. 帮助学生定位及理解短句中的关键词。根据关键词理解细节，思考解决风险行为的策略。 识读并理解关键词，对信息做出正确推论和描述。
Activity 4 5’ 1. Ss look at the pictures in Activity Four carefully and find the risks. T can give some tips to Ss such as: safety harness, electrical wires protective equipment 引导学生应用本单元所学知识，识别和描述图片环境或行为的风险，培养学生的知识迁移和应用能力。 正确识别和描述图片环境或行为的风险。
2. Ss look around and find and describe the risks in classrooms or skill training rooms. 引导学生拓展识别现实生活环境中的风险。 正确识别并描述现实生活环境中的风险。
Culture Corner& Pre-reading 2’ Ss discuss accidents and solutions, and answer the question: Can accidents be avoided 培养学生的逻辑思维能力，为后续的阅读作好热身。 主动参与问题讨论并勇于表达。
Culture Corner & While-reading 8’ 1. Ss read the passage and answer the following questions as soon as possible: (1) What steps should be taken when accident happens (2) As an employer, what should you do to prevent injuries 通过回答问题，训练学生快速把握主旨和细节的阅读能力，引导学生从不同角度理解职场安全问题，认识到“安全无小事”。 阅读文本，迅速提取指定信息，正确回答问题。
2. With T’s help, Ss create a flow chart of accident dealing procedures. 引导、帮助学生绘制事故处理流程图,培养学生寻找关键词和归纳总结的能力。 绘制事故处理流程图。
Culture Corner & Post-reading 4’ 1.T shows an incident investigation sample form and analyze its features with Ss. 帮助学生认识事故调查表，理解国际安全文化和流程，增强国际理解力。 认识事故调查表的特征。
2.T show a picture of workplace accident and ask Ss to fill in the investigation form as a witness 培养学生实际应用知识能力 正确填写表格
Summary & Homework 3’ Summary: According to what Ss have learned today, they try to sort out the knowledge points. Homework: Ss make safety plans of skill-training rooms, including safety rules and accident dealing procedures. 引导学生综合应用本单元的知识，监控、评价、反思和调整自己的学习内容和进步，树立正确的学习态度和良好的学习习惯。 回顾本课所学，通过自我评价，学会反思和改进。
