第一课时 (Period 1)

教学目标 通过本课的学习，学生能够： 1.获取Chen Ming的好朋友Li Hua的基本信息，梳理、概括能体现两人友情 的事件。 2.理解并评价Chen Ming对于友情的观点。 3.表达自己对于真正的友情的观点。
教学重点 梳理、概括Chen Ming和好友Li Hua间体现友情的事情和细节，体会友情的 内涵。
教学难点 通过信息卡和问题复述课文内容，并表达自己对于友情的理解。

【单元课前预习】
1. 学生在图片中填写关于自己新/好朋友的关键词，形成一幅关于自己对于朋友和友 情的画像 。

【教学过程】
Step 1 阅读前通过了解各自的爱好和朋友，了解单元主题。
1. 听、看、标 (Listen,look,and mark)
师生共同给第4页图中的兴趣爱好标上序号，教师读，学生标数字，比如从ride a bicycle 开始，按照顺时针方向，依次是ride a bicycle(1),swim(2),play basketball(3),play football(4),do crossword puzzles(5),read books(6),play the guitar(7),paint pictures(8)。
2. 教师引导学生两人一组，在班级中用第4页的图片和对话示例分享各自的爱好，找出 两人共同的爱好。教师引出“有共同爱好的人可以成为好朋友(Friends may share the same hobbies)”, 并介绍单元的主题。
对话范例：
S1:What do you like doing
S2:I like swimming a lot.What about you
S1:I like swimming too.I also love doing crossword puzzles.
S2:Oh,l enjoy doing crossword puzzles too.
3. 学生两人一组，利用课前预习单上图片中的信息和示例句型互相简单描述自己的新/ 好朋友。
Step 2 了解主阅读语篇的人意。
1. 教师引导学生快速阅读课文，根据课文的标题、副标题、图片等，通过以下问题了解 本篇文章的体裁——网帖 (internet post), 并简单介绍。

2. 引导学生快速阅读全文，完成课本第6页练习1,连线找出每段的主旨，同时鼓励学 生在课文中划出标志性句子或者关键词。

Paragraph 3:has improved;more confident;more open;than before

如果学生程度较好，可以通过划出每段的关键词、关键句，自己总结每段的主旨。
Step 3 分段精读了解更多有关Li Hua的信息，以及作者对朋友的理解。
1. 完成课本第7页词汇练习1,引导学生在课文里将生词和短语划出，并将生词和短语 与英文释义配对，初步掌握部分生词和短语在课文里的意思。
2.阅读第1至2段，填写Li Hua的信息卡。

3. 阅读第2至4段，回答课本第6页Reading comprehension第2题的问题。
在阅读讨论过程中，教师要引导学生关注如何在上下文中识别和理解代词所指代的 人物，帮助学生更流畅地理解课文。

如果学生基础较薄弱，可以给出这些问题的部分答案，让学生通过阅读填写完 整。例如：

Step 4 引导学生根据Li Hua 的信息卡和课本阅读理解栏目中第2题的问题，扮演 Chen Ming 简单介绍好朋友Li Hua 以及表达自己对友情的理解。
如学生基础较弱，简单讲出主要内容即可，或者分小组合作讲述；如学生程度较 好，鼓励学生用自己的语言详细复述。
Step5 引导学生讨论：你是否赞同Chen Ming对友谊的理解 为什么 分享你和你的好朋 友 的 例 子 并 讲 一 讲 你 对 于 “What makes a true friend ” 的 理 解 。
鼓励学生使用课本第7页练习3的词汇表达。
