Everyone has different opinions. This is very common. Your opinion is one of the things that make you different, according to Lisa Linardatos, a clinical psychologist (心理医生) from Canada. It is okay to express your own opinions. It allows you to share yourself with others. But you should be careful about how you express your opinions.
___56___ Although you may be eager (热切的) to explain your side, you should listen to others explain their opinions first. This will help keep the conversation calm. You will also better understand their side at the conversation.
___57___ Remember, you’re not trying to start an argument. Don’t express yourself too eagerly. Winning or losing is not the point. When you have different opinions from others, you should express them politely. For example, you can express your ideas like this: I understand your opinion. But can I give my own opinion It may not be correct. How about discussing it together
___58___ Even if you disagree about some things, you are supposed to let your friends feel that you are good friends forever. This can stop both of you from becoming too emotional (情绪化的).
___59___ Using “you” statements can sound argumentative. For example, telling your mom “You always remind me about my chores when I have a lot of homework” has a very different tone (语气) from “I’m under pressure because I have a lot of homework tonight. Can I do those chores tomorrow ”
___60___ In the future, you may have different opinions with many people. In fact, this can be a good thing. You can even learn from it. For example, sometimes you may not realize that your ideas are wrong. But by sharing them with others, you have a chance to learn.
Choose the best topic from A to F according to the meaning of the passage.
A. Show your friends that you value your friendship.
B. Listen carefully to other people.
C. Use “I” statements (语句) to communicate how you feel and what you think.
D. Express your own opinion politely.
E. Never change your ideas.
F. Learn from different opinions.

People always say the music from their younger years is the best compared to other times. This may be because of something that can be called the “memory bump (记忆隆起)”.
According to the BBC, the memory bump means that our memories from ages 10 to 30 are very strong. This time heavily shapes our interests, such as our favorite books, films, sports stars, and especially music. This is because there is a “safe” place in our brain to store musical memories. The place is well protected against aging problems. As a result, the music we listen to during these years usually has a lasting influence. We usually remember the music in our early years more fondly (充满感情地) than music from other times in our lives.
More importantly, “music is episodic (连载的),” Professor Robert Cutietta at the University of Southern California told CNN. “If you look at an artwork or something, you can look at it and leave. But music is over time.”
Music from our younger years mixes happy and sad feelings when we listen to it. When the songs can be related to (和……有关) your experience, memories of those experiences will come back as you listen to the songs again.
Sometimes, with a change in experience, the sadness you felt before when listening to a song can later turn into joy. This can explain why listening to something from a difficult time in your younger life can bring a feeling of relief now.
Judge the following sentences true (T) or false (F) according to the passage.
61. The “memory bump” means strong memories from our early years.
62. We have a good memory of music from our younger years because we listen to it more often than other music.
63. Professor Robert Cutietta thinks listening to music is like looking at an artwork.
64. When a song you hear has something to do with your experience, the memory of the experience will come back.
65. According to the passage, we know that we remember music from our younger years better.

In 2024, many kids’ movies came out. Here are three of them.
Oriom and the Dark Release Date: Feb.2,2024 Orion is afraid of the dark. One day, an embodiment (化身) of the dark shows up and takes him on a journey to show him there’s nothing to be afraid of. The Netflix movie is based on a book by Emma Yarlett, but the script (剧本) was written by Charlie Kaufman. Kaufman knows how to write movies about anxieties (焦虑). He’s also the writer behind Being John Malkovich.
Robot Dreams Release Date: May 31,2024 This film, based on the comic by Sara Varon, just got an Oscar nomination (提名) for Best Animated Feature. (It didn’t beat the movie The Boy and the Heron.) It’s about a dog. The dog often feels lonely, so he orders a robot to be his friend. The lack (缺少) of words and sadness make it not only a film for kids. The older ones can also get into it.
Mufasa: The Lion King Release Date: Dec.20,2024 The film is a prequel (前传) to The Lion King. It’s about Mu-fasa and his relationship with Scar. Don’t expect 2D animation (动画) this time. A realistic-looking CGI (电脑成像技术) style is used and it is similar to the 2019 remake of The Lion King. Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner even played their roles again as Timon and Pumbaa.

How do you feel when you walk into a messy room Stuff (物品) all over the floor—it’s so unorganized. What about walking into a clean, organized room with your favorite furniture (家具) and colors How does that make you feel You’ll probably feel more relaxed, calm and happy in the clean and organized room.
Sometimes, going online can feel a bit like going into a messy room. There’s just so much stuff in there, and it doesn’t seem to have any order. Although it’s great to have so much stuff, it can also make us stressed, and much of it is quite useless.
It’s good to think of the Internet world as its own environment, and it’s good to remember that you can create your own “room” in this environment. If you want a cleaner “room”, then you’ll need to start organizing it. This includes what you put in it and how and when you use it.
For example, if you’re a fan of video apps, you’ll know that they have endless videos to watch. But if you want to keep your online “room” clean, you might need to make sure that these apps don’t take up too much space in it. To do this, you’ll need to limit (限制) how much time you spend on them.
By making little changes to our online habits, we can live a more relaxed life and have a less messy mind. Remember, you’re in control of your life, not the Internet!
Choose the best answer according to what you read.
71. Which word has the closest meaning to “messy”

Oriom and the Dark Release Date: Feb.2,2024 Orion is afraid of the dark. One day, an embodiment (化身) of the dark shows up and takes him on a journey to show him there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Last Monday, my mother had a bad cold and couldn’t get out of bed. I wanted to help her feel better, so I decided to cook dinner for her.
Since she had a sore throat, I made some light and warm porridge. I washed the rice carefully and boiled it slowly. Then, I added a little salt to make it tasty. When I brought the porridge to her, she smiled and said, “Thank you, dear.”
After eating it, she rested for a while. I was tired but happy because I could help her. Cooking for my mom made me realize how much she usually does for me.
