Shelley grew up in the city, where her dad always drove on smooth roads and her mom only stayed in expensive hotels. When her teacher, Ms. McKay, told the class about a four-day camping (野营) trip, she just wanted to find a way to get out of it.
But there was no way out, so she ended up on the trip. Shelley tried to carry her heavy bag. It felt like a mountain she didn’t want but had to take. When they finally got to the campsite, she was happy to put it down.

When Shelley got back home, she felt different. She wanted to walk around outside. She noticed the flowers in the gardens and the beauty of the park nearby. A great little wish
A few weeks ago, I read about a girl named Hope Elizabeth Stout. After learning more about her life, I began to know that she was named “Hope” for a good reason.
In June 2003, Stout was very much like any other 12-year-old girl. She was going on a beach trip with her family. But a sudden pain (疼痛) in her knee changed everything. After some tests, doctors found that she had bone cancer (癌症).
Stout had to stay in the hospital. She never lost hope and believed that in the end, she would be able to beat (战胜) cancer. However, she became worse and worse. By November, she had to use a wheelchair to get around. Then, something amazing happened.
In the United States, there is the Make-A-Wish (MAW) foundation. It helps children in need realize (实现) their wishes. In November 2003, MAW visited Stout and told the girl she could have anything she wanted.
Stout thought for a few minutes and then answered, “I am still lucky. I went to Disney World and swam with dolphins in Mexico. I went to the beach all the time. Did you just say there are 155 children on your waiting list Well, my wish is to let them realize their wishes.”
It was hard for MAW to realize Stout’s wish—it would cost nearly $750.000. However, newspapers, radio and TV stations shared the story. A local company donated $25,000 to MAW.
Sadly, Stout didn’t live to see the happy ending of the story. She died on January 4, 2004. After her death, there were more and more donations. On January 16, MAW announced (宣布) that they had raised $1,116, 000—enough to realize all 155 wishes. Finally, Stout’s wish came true.

And then she had some in her left hand from the left side of the mushroom.
She tasted a small piece from the right hand to see how it worked. The next thing she knew, she was shrinking! She was frightened by the change and started to taste the other from her left hand. Now she grew so large that her neck rose like a stalk out of a sea of green leaves. They were trees! ③ She was as tall as the trees in the woods!

66.How old was Hope Elizabeth Stout when doctors found she had bone cancer
67.When did MAW tell Stout she could have anything she wanted
68.What was Stout’s wish
69.How much money did MAW raise at last
70.What do you think of the girl
66.12 years old. 67.In November 2003. 68.To let the 155 children (on the waiting list) realize their wishes/To realize all 155 wishes. 69.$1, 116, 000. 70.She is kind./She is brave./She is selfless./She always thinks of others.
66.根据“In June 2003, Stout was very much like any other 12-year-old girl…After some tests, doctors found that she had bone cancer (癌症).”
67.根据“In November 2003, MAW visited Stout and told the girl she could have anything she wanted.”
68.根据“Did you just say there are 155 children on your waiting list Well, my wish is to let them realize their wishes.” To let the 155 children (on the waiting list) realize their wishes/To realize all 155 wishes。
69.根据“On January 16, MAW announced (宣布) that they had raised $1,116, 000—enough to realize all 155 wishes. Finally, Stout’s wish came true.”

One possible version:
Dear Linda,
I’m glad to hear you’re planning an animal-themed party and want to add Chinese elements. Here are my ideas.
Celebrations: Decorate the party with red lanterns and paper cuts of zodiac animals like dragons or tigers. Red means good luck in Chinese culture.
Short films: Show videos about pandas, China’s national treasure. You can also play clips from The Monkey King, a famous Chinese story with animal characters.
Location: Host the party in a park with traditional Chinese gardens or a room decorated with paintings of animals like cranes and koi fish.
Special gift: Give guests small panda key chains. Pandas are symbols of peace, and the key chains are both cute and meaningful.
By doing these, your party will be fun and full of Chinese culture!
Hope your party will be a great success!
Best regards.
Li Hua
