I joined our school band as a drummer last September. At first, I was excited to play cool
rhythms and make friends. The drum set looked shiny, and the other members smiled warmly

I was coming home from school on the bus when I got a text message from Mike. It was
very short: Mkt X7. UGNT. I knew it meant he wanted to meet me at the Market Cross at 7 o’
