副词
副词是指在句子中表示行为或状态特征的词,用以修饰动词、形容词、其他副词或全句,表示时间、地点、程度、方式等概念。
副词的构词
1. 本身是副词。
例:here,there,then,now,ago,often,very,too
2. 与介词、形容词或名词同形。
例:in,out,above,below,around,fast,early,long,high,home
3. 形容词加后缀-ly就变成了副词,规则为:
(1)一般情况下,直接在结尾加-ly
例:quick—quickly
(2)以y结尾的双音节词,变y为i再加-ly
例:happy—happily
(3)以y结尾的单音节词,直接加结尾加-ly
例:shy—shyly
(4)以e结尾的开音节词,直接加结尾加-ly
例:wide—widely
(5)以元音字母+e结尾,去e加-ly
例:true—truly
(6)以le结尾,去e加-ly
例:terrible—terribly
连词
1. and:用于连接并列的单词或句子等,表并列、顺承关系,多用于肯定句。
She likes reading and painting. 她喜欢阅读和绘画。(并列)
He went to the store and bought some milk. 他去了商店,买了些牛奶。(顺承)
2. or:表并列关系(多用于疑问句或否定句),表选择。
I don’t like apples or bananas.(表并列)
You can choose the red one or the blue one.(表选择)
or 还有“否则”的意思
Hurry up, or you’ll miss the train. 快点,否则你会错过火车。
3. but:表转折关系。
She is tired, but she still keeps running.(表转折)

1. 双宾语结构
pass sth.to sb.=pass sb.sth.
give sb.sth.=give sth.to sb.
offer sb.sth.=offer sth.to sb.
show sb.sth.=show sth.to sb.
kick sb.sth.=kick sth.to sb.
send sb.sth.=send sth.to sb.
make sb.sth.=make sth.for sb.
buy sb.sth.=buy sth.for sb.
2. time
表示时间,不可数名词。
I don’t have much time to finish my homework. 我没有太多时间来完成我的作业。
表示次数,可数名词。如:
I have been to Suzhou three times. 我去过苏州三次。
表示一段时间,可数名词。
He spent a long time on his homework.
他花了很长时间做作业。
表示时代,可数名词。
We live in a time of great change.
我们生活在一个巨变的时代。

all the time 一直,总是

3. top
意为 “顶部, 顶端”, 指某物的最高部分或最高点。
He climbed to the top of the mountain. 他爬到了山顶。
意为“上部,上层”,指某物的上半部分或上层部分。
The top of the box was open.箱子的上部是开着的。
意为“封面,封皮”, 指书、杂志等的封面。
The article was on the top of the magazine.这篇文章在杂志的封面上。
adj.意为 “顶部的,顶端的”,描述位于顶部或顶端的。
The top floor of the building is reserved for the management.大楼的顶层是管理层使用的。
adj.意为 “最重要的,最优秀的”,表示在某方面处于最高水平或最优秀的位置。
He is a top student in his class.他在他的班上是最优秀的学生。
v. 意为 “位于……的顶部”,表示某物位于另一物的顶部。
The flag tops the flagpole.旗帜位于旗杆的顶端。
v. 意为 “覆盖, 盖住”,表示用某物覆盖或盖住另一物。

Teamwork is a way of learning, and it is very popular these years. For me, it is very important and it means working together with others to achieve a common goal.
I had a wonderful experience with teamwork during an English class project. Our task was to create a short play in English. At first, we had different opinions, which caused some problems. However, we got over them by listening to each other. We designed different roles for each member such as writers, directors, actors and speakers. We make sure that everyone played his part in the group work. Finally, we created a great short play successfully. We know that this success is the result of our team’s hard work.
This experience made me realize that we could learn from each other through teamwork to improve our skills and achieve more.
