注意在选项中查找表示结果、结论、总结等的信号词或短语,如as a result、in short、in a word all in all等。

Is Ignoring (忽视) a Good Way to End a Friendship or Relationship
Imagine you have been talking to your best friend every day on social media. Then, one day, he just stopped. No replies, no likes—it’s like he disappeared!
This is called ignoring. 91 People do this when they want to end a friendship or relationship but don’t want to have a hard conversation.
92 Actress Jenny Mollen once ignored someone to avoid an embarrassing talk. But while it may feel easier for the person doing it, it can really hurt the one left behind, making them feel sad, confused, or angry.
Some experts worry that people today are getting worse at dealing with difficult conversations. Psychologist Sarah Konrath found that young people today are less likely to consider others’ feelings than those in the 1970s. 93
But face-to-face conversations are important! When we talk in person, we can see each other’s faces, hear each other’s voices, and understand feelings better. 94 A doctor named Alex Lickerman says that breaking up or having arguments in person is difficult, but it often leads to better results.
Ignoring avoids problems instead of solving them. 95 Have you ignored someone Do you think it’s a good way to end a friendship
A.Have you ever been ignored
B.Hard conversations can help people grow and learn.
C.Sometimes people just need some time alone to think.

The best way to build a new habit is to start very small. 108 Once this becomes easy, you can gradually increase the difficulty. This method is much more effective than setting ambitious goals that are hard to maintain.
109 If you want to exercise more, put your workout clothes next to your bed the night before. These small preparations make it easier to follow through with your plans.

D.This might be because we text more and talk face-to-face less.
E.Ignoring might seem easy because you don’t have to explain yourself.
F.It happens when someone suddenly stops talking to you without explanation.
【答案】91.F 92.E 93.D 94.B 95.A

91.根据上文“This is called ignoring.”和下文“People do this when they want to end a friendship or relationship but don’t want to have a hard conversation.”
92.根据下文“Actress Jenny Mollen once ignored someone to avoid an embarrassing talk. But while it may feel easier for the person doing it, it can really hurt the one left behind”可知,这里提到了Jenny Mollen的案例,说明忽视别人的行为虽然对实施者来说感觉容易,但会伤害到被忽视的人,所以此处应用说明人们为何选择忽视的过渡句;选项E“忽略可能看起来很容易,因为你不需要解释自己。”
93.根据上文“Psychologist Sarah Konrath found that young people today are less likely to consider others’ feelings than those in the 1970s.”
94.根据上文“But face-to-face conversations are important!”和下文“A doctor named Alex Lickerman says that breaking up or having arguments in person is difficult, but it often leads to better results.”
95.根据上文“Ignoring avoids problems instead of solving them.”和下文“Have you ignored someone Do you think it’s a good way to end a friendship ”可知,上文完成了论证,所以这里也应用提问的方式引发读者思考自己是否有过被忽视的经历,与结尾两个问句形成排比,引发读者思考;选项A“你曾经被忽视过吗?” 故选A。
