Recent studies clearly show that the shoes we put on every day, especially
sneakers, have a big impact on our body posture and joint health. This is especially
obvious in winter. The cold weather makes our joints more delicate and thus more
likely to be affected.
A revolutionary kind of shoes, the Glacia Barefoot shoes, has been created. It

These shoes are the result of the hard work of Canadian podiatrists. They had
two main aims. One was to find ways to stop and reduce joint pain in patients. The

We started in 1993 with a simple idea that people could help each other by
sharing stories about their lives. For years people had told our founders, motivational
speakers Jack and Mark, inspiring stories about themselves. Jack and Mark included

This afternoon, we had a class discussion about whether it is necessary to tell white
lies. Different people hold different views on this issue.
Some people believe that we need to tell some white lies in some moments in our life
in order to avoid hurting others’ feelings. However, others argue that no one should
tell lies, no matter what kinds of lies. They insist that everybody should know the
truth in any case. People may feel cheated when they know the truth eventually.
As far as I am concerned, when we tell a white lie, we had better consider the
situation at the time and the consequence that it might bring.

Another weekend, however, when I arrived at Mrs Thompson’s house, I found
the door locked. I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Then I knocked on
