4. How to give advice
用情态动词should
modal verb. 意为“应该,应当”,表示要求和命令,也可以表示劝告或建议。表示征求意见,常用于疑问句中。
其后接动词原形,且无人称和数的变化,否定形式在其后+not,缩写为shouldn’t。

e.g. You shouldn’t drink and drive. 你不该酒后驾车。
He should have been more careful. 他应当更小心点儿才是。
② 用于提出或征询建议,意为“该,可以”
含should的一般疑问句是将should提至主语前;其简略回答分别为:
①Yes, 主语(人称代词)+should.
②No, 主语(人称代词)+shouldn't.

5. 反身代词:表示……自己。
单数:myself ; yourself ; himself / herself / itself ; oneself
复数:ourselves ; yourselves ; themselves
① 作宾语,用于动词或介词之后。
e.g. Stop! You might burn yourself. 停!你可能会烧伤自己。
② 作表语,用于系动词之后。
e.g. I’ll be myself again in no time. 我很快就会好起来的。
③ 作同位语,用于名词或代词之后或句末。表示强调,解释说明。
e.g. The book itself is interesting. 这本书本身很有趣。

反身代词
【温馨提示】
1. 反身代词不能单独作主语,但可以作主语的同位语,起强调作用。
如:我自己能完成作业。
(误) Myself can finish my homework.
(正) I myself can finish my homework. / I can finish my homework myself.
2. 反身代词不能表示“某人的东西”,没有所有格的形式。表达“某人自己的(东西)”时,须要用one’s own。
如:我用我自己的笔画画。
