Everyone may feel angry at any time. It’s a common feeling. Some people cry when they feel angry and some may shout. Unluckily, many of us have been used to hiding anger. A study suggests that this can have long-term bad influences (影响) on our health.
Is it better to cry or break things whenever something makes us angry The study points out that when we show our anger in this way, we can’t probably get on well with our friends or our family. The more time we keep being angry, the worse result we’ll get. So how can we deal with our feelings of anger in the right way
First, know what anger is. Anger is often caused by feelings of being too afraid, disappointment and so on.
Also, care more about those everyday things that will make us angry. For example, we may get angry in a long line at the store. Take a step back and think that it isn’t personal. Everyone in the line has dinner to make, just like us. Then we’ll feel better. Another way of dealing with anger is to talk about it. The study has shown that if we name our feelings, we can slowly calm ourselves down.
Besides, take a deep breath or find some helpful exercise to do. Exercise helps deal with anger.
Remember that how we act when we are angry can make things better or worse. If we learn to deal with anger we will be happier and healthier.

①Plastic waste (塑料垃圾) is a main environmental problem. It stays in nature for hundreds of years, hurting animals, oceans, and the environment. Millions of animals are affected every year, and “plastic islands” in the oceans continue to grow. However, scientists have recently found a possible solution—some special plants and fungi (真菌) have the ability to “eat” plastic.
②In one experiment (实验) scientists put a plastic bottle with some fungi in a box. After several weeks, the fungi made special chemicals (化学物质) that broke down the plastic into small pieces. By the end of the experiment, most of the bottle was gone, leaving only safe things like water and air. This experiment shows the ability of fungi to help solve the problem of plastic.
③Scientists also found other fungi and small living things in forests and mountains that can break down plastic. These small living things thrive in difficult environments, the large number of which makes them good at breaking down hard plastic.
④This finding could change how we deal with plastic. Our old ways like recycling (回收) cost too much and don’t work well enough. Using plants and fungi would be cheaper and better for the environment than factories.
⑤However, there are still problems. We need to grow enough of these plastic-eating fungi and make sure they don’t hurt nature at the same time. Besides, scientists must study more to make them work in natural environments.
⑥Even with these problems, the future is still hopeful. Special farms could be set up in oceans and polluted areas to grow these fungi and plants. This could work better because the number of them is big and they can break down plastic waste better and faster.
⑦If we can use these special fungi to “eat” plastic, we might solve the pollution problems and make the Earth cleaner. Scientists are still studying how we can use fungi to fight plastic pollution in the future.
