I used to think it was easy to get clean water.
我过去认为干净的水很容易获得。
(1) used to 表示“过去常常”， to是不定式符号，后接动词原形。例如：

(2) used to 的否定形式是didn't use to或者used not to。例如：
He didn't use to smoke. = He used not to smoke.

(3) used to的疑问句也有两种形式，一种形式是“Did+主语+use
