Gary Gerber, an American high school teacher, has written a book called My Feelings are Like Wild Animals to help you control (控制) your feelings. It tells teenagers how to stay cool when bad things happen to them. When you get angry, you can talk about it with other people. It’s helpful to talk about anger with an adult, such as parents, a teacher, etc. When you talk about anger, those bad feelings can start to go away. Here are some other things you can do when you start to feel angry: talk to a good friend; count from 1 to 100; give someone a hug; go for a bike ride; think about good things, etc. There is always a way for you to deal with anger.
Remember that how you act when you are angry can make everything better or worse. Getting angry only makes problems worse. Don’t let your anger control you.

Youpo Noodles are a famous dish from Shaanxi Province with a history of over 3, 000 years. This simple but tasty dish is made by stretching wheat dough (擀面团) into thick noodles. Today, they are still loved across China, not just for their flavor but also for their role in local culture. Families in Shaanxi often cook this dish during holidays, teaching younger members how to make it.

I was doing a big clean-up on a sunny day last year. Then I found a coin in a bag. As soon as I saw the old dark brown coin, I thought of an old woman. Many years ago, I did some volunteering in Burkina Faso. Unluckily, my things were stolen before I came back home. It made me in trouble. At that time, an old woman begged money from me.
I was sick and tired of the country: its poverty, its thieves, its heat, its dust and its time-wasting officials. I told her directly in French, “I have no money. A thief stole all my money two weeks ago, and now I can’t get out of your country. I cannot give you anything. ”
The beggar woman listened carefully and thought about my words. Then she smiled and reached into the pocket of her dress. “Then I will give you a coin,” she said. Kindly, she placed an old dark brown coin in my palm (手掌). I looked at it in shock. It was only a coin but for this woman, the coin meant a meal. At that moment, I felt very embarrassed. Although she was poor, she was able to give me something priceless (无价的).
Then I saw the beauty of the people of Burkina Faso beyond my imagination. I was deeply moved by the dignity of the poor. Meanwhile, I also felt very humble (卑微的) because of the old woman’s coin. From then on, I decided never to throw away the coin she gave me. With the small coin, I changed my thoughts on some people and some things. Don’t look down upon any people.
