Smith was a landlord (地主). He loved money very much and never gave anything to anybody. Soon he became rich (富有的). One day the weather was fine. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was very warm. The landlord was walking along a river with his friends. All of a sudden (突然之间), he fell into the river. He cried, “Help!
