When Romero first came to China, she was amazed at how big the country is. “And I told myself I should improve my language level quickly,” said the 28-year-old Argentine student, who is studying the Chinese language at Beijing Foreign Studies University. “When I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree (学士学位), my teacher encouraged me to learn the Chinese language in China, where I can experience the culture and know more about the country.”
In recent years, exchanges and cooperation (合作) among universities in both countries have greatly increased, resulting in a significant rise in the number of Argentine students seeking to study Chinese and Chinese students wanting to study Spanish. With a Chinese government scholarship, Romero arrived in China and started her one-year study in September last year. Living and studying in China has been a great experience for her.
“Every day, I spend four to six hours learning and practicing the Chinese language. During weekends or holidays, I usually try to explore more of Beijing and other surrounding cities,” Romero said, explaining that the high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Shanghai has enabled her to have different cultural experiences in China’s south.
“Back in my home country, more Argentine people have become interested in Chinese culture, language and history. At the same time, we have a really big community of Chinese people in our country,” Romero said. According to data, there are more than 4,000 Chinese students in the South American country. The two countries signed a series of cooperation agreements on the development of educational exchanges and scholarship programs, so studying in China has become a popular choice for Argentine youths in recent years.

Elephant Transit Home
In both Africa and Asia elephants are being threatened by changes in their natural habitats (栖息地). People are moving into the elephants’ habitats and endangering their survival. In the country of Sri Lanka, there is one place where elephants are not only protected but also respected. It is called the Elephant Transit Home (ETH).
Set up in 1995, the ETH aims to protect and nurture baby elephants that are found injured or living without their mothers in the wild. Every year about 30 baby elephants in Sri Lanka need help. As many as possible are brought to the ETH. There they are given food, shelter, and medical care. Most importantly, they are given the chance to be with other elephants and become part of a herd (象群).
A day at the ETH begins early in the morning when the baby elephants are given their first feeding of milk. During the day, each baby will drink an average of 13 gallons of milk. Older elephants are fed mostly coconut leaves and other native plants. Then the elephants are allowed to walk around, eating the grass and forming a herd. The cost of caring for the baby elephants is high. The ETH spends about $125,000 each year on powdered milk for the baby elephants.
At the ETH, workers try to reduce human connection with the elephants. They also try to increase bonds (联系) between the elephants. It usually takes three years for a baby elephant to be set free into its natural habitat. The elephants are sent back to the wild together with other orphans with whom they have bonded. This program helps them return to the wild as members of a herd that will communicate with each other and take care of each other.
The ETH is considered one of the best animal protection sites in the world. Not only are the elephants cared for, they are treated with respect. Most importantly, they go back to live in the wild, where they belong.

3D printing is becoming more and more popular. We are now able to create things we need very quickly and easily using 3D printers. But can you imagine printing food
Some scientists are trying to completely change the dining experience by doing this. They hope that having a 3D printer in the kitchen will be as common as the fridge.
Scientists say that it’ll be quite easy: You simply have to choose a recipe (食谱) and put the food “inks” into the printer. You can also adapt the instructions to make the food exactly how you want it. This means that it would be very quick and easy to create tasty and healthy meals.
Using 3D printers to create your meals would also be saving the environment. There would be less need for traditional growing, transporting and packaging processes as food production would be a lot more efficient.
Printing food could also help people who suffer from dysphagia (吞咽困难). They could programme the printer to print softer foods so that they would not have trouble swallowing (吞咽) them.
However, some people think that a future of 3D food printing would be a disaster. It could take away many jobs, including those from growing, transporting and packaging food. Imagine a world where there was no need for farming or growing crops and the same tastes could be printed from a “food ink”. Likewise, traditional cafes and restaurants might lose business. Also, there are concerns about the nutritional (营养的) value of printed food: Is it really possible to get the nutrients we need from food-based inks
What’s more, cooking and eating together with family and friends has long been a traditional and enjoyable activity. It is hard to imagine a world where the pleasure of cooking is dead and meals can be created at the touch of a button.
32.Why is the question raised in Paragraph 1
A.To list some facts. B.To show the author’s curiosity.
C.To ask readers for their answers. D.To introduce the topic of the text.
33.How does 3D food printing benefit people with dysphagia
A.By printing tasty and healthy meals. B.By cutting down the time spent cooking.
C.By producing food that is easier to swallow. D.By helping put more nutrition into the food.
34.What influence might 3D food printing bring
A.Traditional food would disappear. B.We could all eat the same food.
C.Many people could lose their jobs. D.It would be bad for the people’s health.
35.Which of the following can be the best title for the text
A.3D Food Printing: Coming to the Kitchen B.3D Printing Is Able to Create Everything
C.The Disadvantages of 3D Food Printing D.3D Printing Food Will Soon Be in Fashion

Therefore, if you'd like to treat your mom to her favorite cuisine, go earlier on that day.
All in all, Mother's Day is set up to honor mothers' love and care for the family, so even a handmade card can show your appreciation. 40
A.Mother's Day became an official holiday in 1914

“In the blue-and-white porcelain on exhibit, you’ll find many typical West Asian decorative patterns and inscriptions,” Ji Luoyuan, the exhibition’s curator and an associate researcher with the Palace Museum, 62 (say). “But China gradually developed its own materials during the Ming Dynasty (1368—1644) and adopted more traditional Chinese patterns,” he adds.
Just as bronze, 63 originated in West Asia and once enriched ancient Chinese civilization, silk from China may also have shaped the path of 64 (develop) on the other side of the continent, as it once inspired merchants (商人) 65 (experience) the tough desert crossing in search of wealth.

A master schedule can be used to find out how much time you really have for activities. This schedule lists all of the activities that you must complete.
A weekly schedule can also be used to help you plan time for the things that you really like to do. Your weekly schedule should include time for activities. It also should include activities that will help you to achieve lifetime, long term and short-term goals.
Finally, it should include your study time and free time. Free time is necessary so that you can make needed changes in your schedule. A daily schedule is a final suggestion to help you plan your time.

66. Technology and My Life
Technology has significantly changed how we live presently. In study, digital tools make learning easier. For communication, video calls make us talk to family far away, breaking the distance. At home, smart devices help do housework with least efforts.
However, technology brings problems too. Too much screen time hurts our eyes and makes us less focused. Some people feel lonely even when chatting online. We must remember to balance technology use with real-world activities. Let’s use it wisely to improve life instead of being defined by it.

67.范文
I stood there frozen as Justin was handed his medal. My chest tightened, and tears blurred my vision. Mom rushed over, wrapping her arms around me. “You did an amazing job, Sammy!” she whispered. Justin glanced at me, his tomato cheeks now softened into a shy smile. “You were so fast,” he said, offering a high-five. Hesitating, I slapped his hand weakly. The coach approached, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Second place is still a victory,” he said. I stared at the empty hook on my wall, imagining the medal that wouldn’t hang there. Dad stood silently nearby, his eyes filled with pride mixed with concern.
Suddenly, strong hands lifted me onto Dad’s shoulders. “Look around, champ,” he said. The crowd was cheering wildly — not just for Justin, but for every runner. “Winning isn’t about medals,” Dad continued. “It’s about pushing your limits.” From that height, I saw Sarah hugging her mom and Mikey laughing with friends. Justin waved at me, his medal glinting. I took a deep breath and clapped along with the crowd. Later, as we ate ice cream, Mom said, “Next year, that hook will be ready again.” I nodded, realizing the race had taught me something brighter than a ribbon.
