The Guide on Your Trip to Copenhagen
Regularly ranked among the happiest places globally, Copenhagen is a pleasant place for visitors and residents alike.
Planning Your Trip
Best Time to Visit: While almost every month of the year has its own appeal, the best time to visit Copenhagen is May through September. One of Copenhagen’s most attractive parts is that even during the peak months of July and August, the city is never crowded with people but full of life and energy.
Getting Around: Biking is by far the most common way to get around the flat streets of Copenhagen. Download a bike-share app or rent a bike from your hotel. The driverless, eco-friendly Metro, buses and water buses cover most of the city.
Travel Tip: If you have data, pre-load your phone with a few key apps, like Donkey Republic for quick bike rentals and Mobilbilletter for buying tickets for public transportation.
Things to Do
Copenhagen’s museums cover everything from ancient Vikings to Andy Warhol and are a draw for many visitors. Shopping trips, canal tours and lunches around town fill the days while top tables, excellent cocktails and live music occupy the nights.
Culture and Customs
The Danes (丹麦人) are polite and value arriving on time (Seriously, don’t be late for dinner reservations!), but they are not overly warm to people outside of their tight-knit groups of friends.
Unless you’re at a five-star restaurant, expect to flag down a member of the waitstaff at least once, and they almost certainly won’t stop by to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. If you’d like another glass of wine or to order something else, don’t be shy. Tipping is not expected.
21.When is the best time to visit Copenhagen
A.April. B.June. C.October. D.December.
22.What can people do on Mobilbilletter
A.Buy bus tickets. B.Rent bikes. C.Listen to music. D.Order meals.
23.What can be learnt about the Danes
A.They always tip the waiters. B.They are overly warm to strangers.
C.They often behave impolitely. D.They often arrive on time for a meeting.
Nicole Latham is a 21-year-old law student from University of Leeds. Not only does she devote her time to law classes, she also competes in weightlifting competitions.
Beyond these academical and physical pursuits, Nicole is also in and out of the doctor’s office. She was diagnosed (诊断) with multiple sclerosis (MS), a rare disease, a year ago. The first attack happened while she was preparing for her A-Levels, a hugely stressful time for many students. Initially, she blamed her symptoms (症状) on stress.
Nicole carried on preparing for her exams. She sat with one eye closed to improve her vision which was damaged by her vertigo (眩晕) experience. That was when she decided to act and head back to the doctor’s office. She took loads of medicines, but no progress was made. Feeling something might be going wrong, she immediately went to the hospital for further examinations.
Following an MRI scan, she was diagnosed with MS. After this first attack and her MS diagnosis, Nicole didn’t experience another for a few years. But in August 2021, she had another. This attack made her left hand shake for two months. Despite the obvious challenge caused by the disease in daily life, she didn’t let it hinder her ambitions. And her goal was to show other young people with disabilities that they could live their lives and still enjoy an active lifestyle.
Today, Nicole uses her page not only to spread awareness of MS, encouraging people not to miss symptoms, as she did at first, but also to show people they can live a full and satisfying life with MS. She wants to show the highs as much as the lows.
24.Why does Nicole often go to the doctor
A.She seeks more exercise. B.She wants to be a doctor.
C.She loses her ability to walk. D.She goes for medical treatment.
25.What was Nicole’s symptom during her first MS attack

A.Prevent. B.Share. C.Improve. D.Join.

Anyone with even a passing interest in the natural world will have noticed a dramatic phenomenon this year: a lack of insects. Species that are usually common are in many places down to the point of having almost disappeared.
There are several probable reasons for this sudden reduction compared with typical summers. The weather has not helped, with a cool and wet spring across much of the country suppressing (抑制) insect numbers. But even with that factored in, this year’s sudden drop comes after many years of much longer-term decline.
Dave Goulson, one of the UK’s leading entomologists, estimates that insect populations compared with a century ago are 90% to 95% down. “This was not caused by one wet spring: it is the result of a combination of factors that include the rise of ever more intensive farming, habitat loss, pollution and the impacts of climate breakdown,” he says.
Aside from the depressing silence of gardens, woods and grasslands, there are more practical consequences. For example, many of our crop plants depend on wild insects to pollinate (对……授粉) them. Insects are also the food source of many mammals and birds that are also in decline.
The present position is nonetheless a wake-up call about the scale of losses that have taken place in recent decades. It is very clear that a major change is needed now. It is pleasing to see that the government has a sense of the challenge in front of us and has committed to positive measures.
We will need to go further, though, including shifting the culture that favors neat and tidy verges (绿地) to create wilder gardens and bigger, better and more connected natural habitats. All that will be needed is not only to stop long-term decline but also to create the toughness that our wildlife at present lacks, which will be needed more and more as climate breakdown leads to more extreme weather.
28.What can be inferred about the insect decline
A.It’s not easy to spot. B.It’s a recent phenomenon.
C.It’s due to the hot summer. D.It’s part of a long-term trend.
29.What is a direct impact of insect decline on ecosystems
A.Increased crop yields. B.Shifts in weather patterns.
C.Reduced plant reproduction. D.Enhanced wildlife adaptability.
30.What specific measures are needed to support wildlife
A.Planting more neat and tidy verges.
B.Establishing nature reserves and reducing habitat destruction.
C.Increasing research investment in wildlife population monitoring.
D.Introducing advanced technologies to control other threats to wildlife.
31.What is the text mainly about
A.Climate change effects. B.The role of insects in nature.
C.A sharp drop in insect numbers. D.Government measures on insects.
What Could the School of 2050 Look Like
Thanks to technology-driven advances in education, the school of 2050 may look different in many ways. For example, on entering the classroom, biometric scanning (生物识别扫描) will allow students to check in. Teachers will be able to gather attendance data automatically. For the school of the future, there will be no need to deal with heavy curtains or dust-covered blinds; we’ll have smart glass. Windows can automatically adjust their colors, protecting both our eyes and screens.
By 2050, 3D printers will have become a standard appliance, both in the home and at school. As a learning aid, they’ll have become crucial, allowing teachers more flexibility to explain difficult concepts.
Adaptive learning systems driven by artificial intelligence (AI) will have become integrated into the school environment by 2050. Personalized learning experiences will take into account learning styles and create adaptive assessments that adjust in real time based on performance. AI may also be used to analyze pupils’ work, even so far as predicting future performance, helping teachers understand which students need more guidance on a particular concept before they fall behind.
Students will be able to get immediate feedback (反馈), with suggested areas for improvement and more personalized tutoring (辅导) based on their strengths and weaknesses. And homework assignments will mostly be online. From downloading the assignment at the end of the lesson to submitting it remotely, students will be able to view their coursework, see the percentage completed, and track general assessments.
Gone will be the days of carrying heavy textbooks, and hurriedly putting them into lockers after lessons. Students of the future can look forward to having recommended reading materials right at their fingertips via e-readers and tablet devices which can be operated through virtual reality. As a result, dependence on paper products will be reduced. Though paper won’t disappear completely, it’ll be eco-friendly, either recycled or made from fast-growing plants like bamboo.
32.How will students in 2050 sign in
A.With check-in sheets. B.By biometric scanning.
C.With a teacher’s headcount. D.By messaging the teacher.
33.What is the main focus of paragraphs 3 and 4

B.The role of AI in personalizing student learning paths.
C.The use of virtual reality in enhancing physical education.
D.The benefits of adaptive learning systems for student safety.
34.What can we learn about the future textbooks
A.They only use bamboo paper. B.They will remain paper-based.
C.Digital ones may replace them. D.All the students in the class only need one.
35.What is the author’s purpose in writing the text
A.To criticize traditional teaching methods.
B.To highlight the challenges faced by students.
C.To inform readers about the future of schools.
D.To promote the use of technology in education.

I lost all my hair at age two due to alopecia (脱发症). All I wanted growing up was to fit in. So I wore a wig (假发). However, my classmates still found out my secret. They made fun of me, saying, “Lindsay has no hair.”
Sports became my escape, and I was fortunate to have inborn athletic ability. I would race home every day and play basketball in my backyard for hours. I never thought about my bald (光秃的) head during these moments, but rather who I wanted to become and what I wanted to achieve.
I started to gain recognition from others. I became known as the girl who was good at basketball, not just as the girl who didn’t have hair. I was still laughed at by some classmates, but it began to bother me less. I put all my time and energy into basketball and becoming the best player I could be.
I had a great high-school career, breaking countless school records, and received a scholarship to play in college. It was a dream come true. However, I still wasn’t okay with my alopecia and rarely talked about it. I continued to wear my wig all the time, no matter the weather or what I was doing. It was my security and way to hide from the world.
College is a huge transition. I remember the first time when I built up the courage to tell an amazing friend in college about my alopecia. She was called Jennifer, who was good at running. When I told her about my alopecia, she comforted me that even without hair, I was a great girl. It was the first time that I had felt accepted by a person of my age.
After that, we supported each other and often ran together. She offered me some advice on running. With her guidance and help, I wanted to realize my dream of running marathons. I trained hard and made great progress. Jennifer advised me to run my first marathon without a wig. I wanted to do this but I was hesitant.
注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;
Two weeks later, I started my first marathon.

故填who/that。
cause sb. to do sth. 故填to reflect。
present sb. with sth. 故填with。
故填a。

How to Protect Our Heritage Sites
When it comes to preserving our heritage sites, there are many actions students can take to become active participants in this important task.
When visiting heritage sites, follow the rules, do not damage cultural relics, and respect local cultural customs. At the same time, share visiting experiences through social media and call for more people to travel in a civilized manner. We can also get directly involved in specific conservation efforts through volunteering.
Through these practical actions, we can not only enhance the sense of responsibility, but also contribute to the cause of heritage protection around the world.
67.One possible version:
Two weeks later, I started my first marathon. On the day of the competition, I saw Jennifer wearing a hat. When I approached her, I found that she had already shaved off her hair. I was surprised and moved. I knew she was encouraging me in this way. I hugged her, with tears welling up in my eyes. At the beginning of the competition, she took off her hat and I took off my wig. We smiled at each other and ran towards the finish line.
When the crowd saw two bald girls competing, they screamed(尖叫)in surprise. We ignored the voices of others and just strove to run forward. As I crossed the finish line, I threw myself at Jennifer to express my gratitude. “You did it!” she congratulated me. Meanwhile, the audience at the finish line gave us warm applause. For the first time, I felt I was brave, strong and beautiful. I felt like I finally found myself, a person who no longer needed a wig.
