Key Points: Consolidate the vocabulary of school facilities, master and flexibly use the sentence patterns for introducing places.
Difficult Points: Use English to communicate and interact naturally and fluently in actual situation simulations, and deal with various sudden expression needs.

IV. Teaching Process
1. Situational Introduction
The teacher presents a situation: A group of foreign students are coming to visit our school, and we need a qualified student tour guide to introduce the campus to them. Set up the situation to arouse students' interest and anticipation, and let students experience learning and use English in a real situation.
T: Hello, everyone. A group of foreign students will visit our beautiful school. I need to choose a tour guide and show them around our school.
2. Independent Exploration
T: To be a good tour guide, what should we do
Students think about how to become a qualified tour guide and speak out bravely. The teacher supplements and summarizes, shows a mind map, and gives task levels.
3. Activate Knowledge and Apply Practice
Task 1 Know our school well
(1) Show pictures of campus facilities, and students answer the English words to consolidate vocabulary memory.

(2) Review key sentence patterns. The teacher asks the question: “Where’s the school dining hall ” Guide students to recall sentence patterns such as “It is behind/across from/next to .....” Practice the following sentence patterns within groups:

B: We can ....... there.

Task 2 Plan a tour route
T：How do you plan your tour route
Students boldly explore the tour route, and the teacher gives suggestions: draw a map and mark the track.
Task 3 Introduce places in school
T: What do we mainly introduce about
Through the mind map, students clarify the content to be introduced.
Task 4 Practice giving the tour
Group work
S1: Draw a map of school. (painter)
S2: Plan a tour route. (designer)
The other students: Compose and act out the dialogue. (actors&actresses)
Arrange students into groups of 6 people, who play the roles of tour guides and tourists respectively. The "tour guide" needs to lead the "tourists" to visit the campus (simulate the scene in the classroom), and use the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns to introduce the campus facilities in detail. The "tourists" can ask questions at any time, such as “How many books are there in the library ” “Is the playground big ” and so on.
The teacher patrols each group, gives guidance and help in a timely manner, and records the highlights and problems in students' performances.
4. Group Presentation and Competition
Each group of "tour guides" and "tourists" presents in front of the whole class. Other groups listen carefully and evaluate from aspects such as Correct Language, Fluent Speaking, Body Language, Reasonableness, and Creativity. Finally, vote to select the best tour guide.
5. Emotional Sublimation
Students change their identities to be tourists, follow the tour guide in the video to enter our campus again, listen to their introduction, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the campus, enhance students' love and sense of belonging to the school, and truly understand the meaning of going to school.
6. Assign Homework in Different Levels
Basic Homework: Write an Email to your friend to introduce your new school.
Improved Homework: Record a School Vlog to talk about your favourite places and activities.
Expanded Homework: Search the Internet for more information about the profession of tour guide, and share it with everyone in the next class.
