You’ll need to create a password (密码)to do just about everything on the Web, such as checking your email, banking online, logging in WeChat and so on. And while it’s simpler to use a short, easy-to-remember password, this can also cause serious risks to your online safety. To protect yourself and your information, you’ll want to use passwords that are long, strong, and difficult for someone else to guess, while still keeping them easy for you to remember.
A strong password is one that’s easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. Let’s take a look at some of the most important things to think when setting a password. First, never use personal information such as your name, birthday, user’s name, or email address. This type of information is often available, which makes it easier for someone to guess your password. Second, use a longer password. Your passwords should be at least six characters (符号) long or even longer. Then, don’t use the same password for each account. If someone discovers your password for one account, all of your other accounts will be in danger.
You can try to use numbers symbols and both capital and small letters. You have to avoid using words that can be found in the dictionary. Like “swimming”, it would be a weak password. So random passwords are the strongest.
Instead of writing your passwords on paper like books or notebooks where someone might find them, you can use a password manager (a kind of App) to keep them safely online. Password managers can remember and enter your password on different websites. That means you won’t have to remember longer passwords. So it is a good and safe way to keep your passwords.
24. What does the underlined word “this” in Paragraph 1 refers to
A. Checking your email. B. Banking online.
C. Logging in WeChat. D. Using an easy password.
25. According to the passage, which one is the strongest password
A. 20250608 B. Swimming C. Zxig2025! D. Fiona!
26. What is the last paragraph mainly about
A. When to keep your passwords. B. How to set safe passwords.
C. When to remember passwords. D. How to keep passwords safely.
27. What’s the purpose of this passage
A. To encourage people to check emails carefully.
B. To help people set and keep safe passwords.
C. To stop people from using their personal information.
D. To tell people the differences between easy and strong passwords.
C
When we look at a picture of Earth from space, there are areas of green, blue, and white. Most people will recognize that the green is land, the blue is water, and the white is clouds. Taken as a whole, Earth is mainly blue. That is because of the amount of water it has that covers the surface.
So, how much of Earth is water About 71% of Earth's surface is covered in water. Of that 71%, the oceans hold 96.5% of the water. This water found in oceans is all salt water. The remaining 3.5% of the water is fresh water, which can be found in lakes, rivers, glaciers (冰川), and in the ground. Fresh water is what people use for farming, raising animals, drinking, and daily activities such as taking showers and washing clothes or dishes.
Does the amount of water stay the same For the most part, yes. Water on Earth is part of a closed system. That is, water is always moving and changing forms between ice, liquid, and gas. The form of the water changes all the time, but the total amount of water on Earth remains the same.
If Earth is not necessarily running out of water, why are people worried Why do we need to think about saving water First, humans can only use fresh water, which is only 3.5% of all of Earth's water. Second, of this 3.5%, only 1% is available for human use. Most fresh water is found in glaciers far from where anyone lives. Third, the amount of water that is useful for humans is being used faster than it can be cleaned and put back into the environment.
Now, knowing the facts about water, it is our job to make sure we use Earth's water in a good way.
28.Where can 96.5% of the water on Earth be found
A.In oceans. B.In lakes. C.In glaciers. D.In rivers.
29.What does the writer mean by saying "Water on Earth is part of a closed system."
A.The amount of water becomes smaller. B.The amount of water stays the same.
C.The amount of water keeps changing. D.The amount of water becomes larger.
30.What can we learn from Paragraph 4
A.Humans can use all the water on Earth easily.
B.Most fresh water is found in the ground easily.
C.Humans can't use 2.5% of the fresh water freely.
D.Water for humans can be cleaned and recycled fast.
31.What is the main idea of the passage
A.The reasons why Earth is in different colors.
B.The people who use the most water on Earth.
C.The amount and different types of Earth's water.
D.The proper ways for people to use fresh water.

DeepSeek is a Chinese technology company focused on developing artificial intelligence (AI). Founded in 2023, its name combines “Deep”(for deep learning) and “Seek” (meaning to explore). The company’s AI technology is used in smart customer service, medical diagnosis (诊断), self-driving cars, and education.

CEO Zhang Feng says, “We want technology to be something students can touch, not just read about in textbooks.”
However, some challenges remain. A few parents worry that depending too much on AI might reduce children’s critical (批判) thinking. DeepSeek’s team responds that their tools are made to “assist, not replace” humans. All AI suggestions come with a “Requires Human Confirmation” notice.
Looking ahead, DeepSeek plans to use AI for environmental protection. Projects include smart cameras to identify endangered animals (like pandas) and systems to predict forest fires. As the company’s motto states: “The warmth of technology lies in serving human.”

A few weeks before our summer holidays, news came that our school would organize a trip to the amazing countryside of Scotland. What attracted me most was that we would be hiking and camping in the beautiful mountains. As a nature lover, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity.
With two weeks of preparation time, the excitement of going on this journey with my friends increased day by day. We came together to discuss what to pack, exchanging ideas and recommendations. However, in the middle of the excitement, a bit of nervousness came in. It would be my first time traveling without my family by my side. The unknown that awaited me also made me a little worried. Still, the support of my friends made me believe that this journey would be an unforgettable one.
The day of the journey finally arrived. With the teachers coming along, we boarded the train. To our pleasure, my friend and I managed to get window seats. As the train traveled, we admired the passing landscapes. We also chatted happily, exchanging stories and expecting the adventures that lay ahead.
Upon arriving, I took a deep breath and smiled widely. We took a bus to a tourist village. When we came together at the meeting point, the teachers gave us some guidelines. We were scheduled to visit a local farm the next day and go camping on the third day. After having a quick but nice dinner, we spent a night in the tourist village.
After breakfast, we headed to the local farm. Endless meadows (草地) spread out before us, with colorful wildflowers moving in the light wind. A clear river flowed through the landscape, making peaceful sounds. We watched some green farming practices and joined some fun farm games. At the end of the day, we all felt it was a special and eye-opening experience. The next day, we set off as planned with camping equipment, aiming to climb to the top of a mountain nearby.

Good morning, everyone. I’m Li Hua. In order to raise public awareness of environmental protection, the Student Union organized some students as volunteers to carry out a special task last Sunday.
They went to the Central Park to search for and collect the garbage that was thrown randomly. They also preached to the public about some knowledge and methods related to environmental protection.
The activities received very good feedback. Both the volunteers and the people in the park said they had learned more about environmental protection.
作文2(参考范文)
Paragraph 1: At first, the fresh experience made everyone excited. However, the hiking path became more and more difficult. Rocks and plants spread here and there, making each step a careful consideration. We felt more and more tired as we climbed, but we encouraged each other to move on. And our teachers introduced us to much funny knowledge of local plants along the way, adding some enjoyment to the trip. After a lot of effort, we finally made it to the top. Admiring the greatness and strength of nature, we were filled with a sense of satisfaction.
Paragraph 2: We realized we had to set up the tent first, as the weather suddenly turned bad. Dark clouds gathered quickly and clearly a storm was coming. Anxiously, we started to work with the camping equipment together. Setting up a tent was not as easy as we thought. After several failed attempts, we finally managed to set up the tent. Inside the tent, while listening to the sound of the rain, we talked about the special trip in a relaxed way. We exchanged interesting discoveries along the trip. The journey turned out to be an educational and unforgettable experience, testing our courage, patience and teamwork.

Welcome to Ridgefield Fitness Club. I’m Paul Dickson. Before you start, I’d like to offer you some tips. We all know that regular exercise is important, but few of us know how to exercise properly. I’ve seen many people make the same workout mistakes in this place. The first one: People often work out too hard. You need to give your body a break and get into the habit of taking regular exercise. It’s not the harder the better. Two hard workout days every week is enough. (18) You can plan some easy exercises on other days. The second one: Some people come to our club almost once a year. I suggest such people come with your partners. (19) It can help to have partners encourage you. Make exercise a part of your daily routine. Try to avoid too much and too little exercise. There are different kinds of exercises, such as jogging, biking, and weightlifting, so you will enjoy yourself here. (20) Our swimming pool and dance studio will be finished next year. If you have any questions, you can come up to me or other staff in our club.
