数数图片上一共有几只动物，复习旧知，为接下来的新知学习作铺垫。
Step 2 Lead-in
Let’s sing
教师带领学生一起跟着视频演唱人教三上第68页Listen and chant 部分的歌曲。
以歌曲热身快速吸引学生的注意力，营造良好的英语课堂氛围。这首歌既帮助学生复习数字1~10，激活已知，又为新课学习做铺垫。
Step 3 Presentation
1．Look and guess
呈现教材图片，遮住书和铅笔的部分。引导学生观察图片并猜测，引起学生阅读兴趣。
T: Look at the picture. They’re Chen Jie and Amy. What are they doing Are they counting the school things Guess. What are on the desk Yes, they are counting the school things. There are so many books and pencils.
在呈现书和铅笔的数量之后，讲解新单词 fifteen 和 twelve。
2．Let’s think
呈现新的问题“How many books do they have ”“How many pencils do they have ”，讲解 how many 后面的名词要用复数形式。请学生猜测书本和铅笔的数量，然后引出数字 fifteen、twelve 并教读，提醒学生注意 twelve 中 -ve 的发音。
3．Watch and check

S: 15.

S: 12.
教师播放对话视频，学生观看视频找出问题的答案。
教师讲解如何谈论拥有的物品的数量“How many +物品+ do we/you have ”“We/I have +数字+物品. / 直接回答物品数量.”。
4．Listen and imitate
教师播放音频，学生跟读。教师指导学生的语音语调。
5．Let’s sort out
创设陈杰和Amy一起整理学习用品的情景，让学生们帮助陈杰和Amy一起整理，看看陈杰和Amy都需要些什么吧。
教师讲解如何谈论需要的物品的数量“How many +物品+ do we/you need ”“We/I need +数字+物品. / 直接回答物品数量.”。
6．Listen and imitate
教师播放音频，学生跟读。教师指导学生的语音语调。
Step 4 Practice
1．Listen and fill
教师播放音频，学生听后将课文空白处还原。
2．Role play
教师先示范角色朗读，再以小组为单位分角色朗读，最后进行班内的小组展示。
Step 5 Consolidation
1．Count and say
呈现本活动的教材图片，提问“How many apples do we need ”，引导学生回答数量。然后学生两人一组对图片中事物进行另一种提问和回答，复习、巩固核心句型。
2．Make a new dialogue
呈现学生熟悉的文具、动物，仿照课文创设对话情景。学生用包含核心句型的语言支架，创编对话，进行问答训练，巩固对句型的运用。教师先与一名学生进行示范，然后学生组内进行练习。
