What 本课由两个语篇组成，语篇一是多模态语篇，讨论不同国家的开学仪式或活动；语篇二是开放性的多模态语篇，需学生完成。 Why 语篇一通过跨文化对比，引发兴趣并铺垫单元主题 A new start，激活学生对“初中开学”话题的背景知识。 语篇二引导学生反思已有知识，自主提出关于初中生活的疑问，为后续阅读或讨论提供个性化学习方向。 How 语篇一通过匹配不同国家的开学仪式或活动，激发学生对新学校的兴趣，学习相关核心词汇，通过先猜测再验证的互动设计，鼓励学生参与而非被动接受信息。语篇二的表格设计清晰，逻辑递进（已知→未知→行动），学生在多角度思考中激活关于学校生活的图式。

Because ______. 教学活动 教师提问：What do you do on your first day of junior high 呈现几张图片(meet new friends, have an opening ceremony, do self-introduction, get new textbooks, clean classroom together, visit the school等 )，供学生参考。 过渡：Do you think students in other countries do the same things on their first day 教师将世界地图投屏，指出美国，This country is the USA，然后请学生标出其余三个国家的位置。核对答案时教读Russia, Indonesia, France。 提问：What do people do on the first day of school in the four countries 引导学生猜测并匹配后，播放音频，核对答案。 教师呈现课程表，提问：What is it 1. What is your first lesson 2. Who is the teacher 3. Do you like him/her Why 教师呈现子话题1：Lessons and teachers in junior high，总结。
