die 与 dead 的区别

一、基本用法
结构 本质用法 常见场景 语气感受 例句(以请求为例)
Can you 直接问 “你能不能” 熟人、口语、 日常请求 直接、不绕弯 Can you pass me the paper (递下纸)
Could you 用 “过去式” 表 “委婉问” 陌生人、正式场合、礼貌请求 客气、不生硬 Could you lend me your pen (借笔更礼貌)

Can I 直接问 “我能不能” 向对方申请许可 自然、日常沟通 Can I sit here (我坐这儿行吗?)
Could I 用 “过去式” 表 “更委婉问” 想显得更礼貌、尊重对方 谦逊、降低强迫感 Could I ask you a question (问问题更客气)
肯定回答 Yes, you can. / Sure, go ahead.
否定回答 No(Sorry), you can’t. / I’m afraid you can’t.

During break time, Xiaoyu's pen suddenly stopped working, leaving an ugly ink on her homework. "Oh no!" she turned to Xiaoyang who was organizing his books.
"Could I borrow a pen " Xiaoyu asked nervously, tapping her fingers on the desk.
Xiaoyang happily handed her a shiny pen: "Sure! This is my favorite pen, please be careful with it."
Just as Xiaoyu was thanking him, Xiaoyang suddenly gasped(倒吸一口气): "Wait! Where's my eraser " He frantically (疯狂地)searched his bag, books scattering (散乱)everywhere.
"Could you lend me your eraser " Xiaoyang begged,"I need to correct my math competition notes!"
Xiaoyu was about to agree when she remembered something: "Can I keep your pen until school ends I've only finished half my homework..."
At that moment, their teacher's voice came from the door: "Class, pop quiz starting now!"
The two friends looked at each other in panic(恐慌地) — Xiaoyang couldn't correct his notes without an eraser, and Xiaoyu couldn't take the quiz without a pen!
"Quick!" Xiaoyu had an idea. She broke her eraser in half: " Please share my eraser !" Xiaoyang smiled and handed her the pen: "And please share my pen!" Teamwork saved the day!
