One possible version:
The Hero in My Heart
Zhao Yiman is one of the most respected heros in Chinese history. Her unwavering spirit and sacrifice have left a profound mark deep in my heart.
Born in 1905, Zhao Yiman actively joined the revolutionary cause against Japanese aggression. As a dedicated member of the Communist Party, she led guerrilla forces, bravely fighting the enemy. Even after being captured, she refused to betray her comrades, enduring cruel torture. Her strong will and patriotism remained unshaken until her tragic execution in 1936. Her heartfelt letters to her son vividly illustrate her love for family and country.
Zhao Yiman’s story continues to inspire generations. Her courage and selfless dedication remind us to cherish peace and never forget the sacrifices made for our country.
One possible version:
The Hero in My Heart
We have a lot of respectable heroes around us. As for me, Qian Xuesen, widely regarded as the “Father of China’s Space Program,” is my hero.
Born in Hangzhou and studying in the USA, Qian Xuesen is one of the greatest scientists ever in China. He gave up favorable living conditions of America and risked his life to return to China. Throughout his life, he served his motherland with effort, achievement and devotion, and made great contributions to China’s aerospace, ending up as one of the “Two Bombs, One Satellite” founders.
His patriotism and pioneering spirit, which is acknowledged universally, gain the admiration of the world, including me. I admire him deeply.
第二节(满分25分)
Possible version:
Moments later, some rescue workers arrived with equipment and medicine. After quickly assessing the situation, they approached the bird cautiously, bent down and talked softly to calm the frightened bird. They gently picked up the bird and carefully treated its injured claw. No sooner had they applied medicine to the wound than the bird showed signs of relief. After the treatment, the bird even fluttered its wings, as if thanking Ella and the rescue workers. Ella, watching the rescue unfold before her eyes, realized this was far more precious than any photograph she could have taken. Right then, she decided to join the rescue team as a volunteer.
Being a volunteer for the rescue team, Ella never forgot her dream. Profoundly moved by the hummingbird incident, she committed herself to combining her passion for photography with her newfound mission. Whenever she went into the forest with her camera, she kept an eye out for any animals in need. Her photos evolved to tell deeper stories — carrying both beauty and conservation. Little did she know that her decision to help that bird would transform her photography and her entire perspective on the relationship between humans and nature. Her dream was fulfilled not just through her lens but through her heart.

W: I was in Madrid last week.
M: Oh, what were you doing there
W: My best friend works there, and I went to visit her. It was a good chance to practise my Spanish.

M: Jane, I have got this terrible cold. And I have to see a doctor. I’m afraid I can’t go to the class. Could you help me hand in my lab report to Dr. Davidson
W: Sure. No problem! Just take care of yourself and don’t worry about the class.
Text 3
M: Sylvia, if no one takes care of your children while you’re away, Jennifer and I will be glad to have them stay with us.
W: That’s very kind of you. But they’ve already left for their grandma’s. You know, Flora lives close by.
Text 4
M: Hurry up with your food, Sally! They say there’s a big storm coming. We’d better get home before that.
W: Okay. I’m done. Let’s get back to the car. Could you carry these shopping bags
M: Oh, sure.
Text 5
M: We deep-fried fish three days ago in the kitchen, but the unpleasant smell stays.
W: There’s a method you can try. Every time you make coffee, dried the leftover coffee grounds and keep them in small bowls, then placed the bowls in the kitchen.

W: Does that mean I can’t have any more fast food
M: Right. You can’t have any fried food or steaks.
W: What about breakfast food like eggs and sausages
M: Those are all bad for you. But you can have porridge, bread and orange juice.
W: Well, what about lunch and dinner

M: Hi, Suzy! You look worried. What’s wrong
W: Well, Victor, have you ever felt nervous on stage
M: Sure. Do you remember that play I was in a few years ago I knew my lines, but I was terrified to have to recite them in front of an audience. As soon as I saw the crowd of people down there, my heart beat so fast that I was unable to say a single word.
W: That’s how I feel just thinking about the spelling competition next week.
M: I didn’t know you made it to the finals.
W: I’m worried I’ll get nervous and freeze on stage. I might forget how to spell everything, even my own name. I don’t know what to do.
M: Suzy, I know that you’re not going to forget how to spell your name. I’ll help you get through this. I’ll go to the school hall with you to practice. Then I’ll teach you an exercise my baseball coach taught me. Believe me. It works.
W: I feel much better now. Thanks, Victor!

M: I’m glad to hear it. And we’ll prepare to offer you a starting salary of $55,000.
W: I see. And... vacation time
M: Oh, you get one day per month in your first year. That is you’ll have 12 days in your first year, and then increase if you stay longer with the company.
W: What would be my job title
M: You’d be a junior specialist. And you’d be working under Emma Watson, the department manager.

M: Well, this is typical for new staff.
W: I see...
M: Why don’t you think about it I’ll need to hear back from you by Wednesday. Will that work

Text 10
Talking about personal relationships, well, I’d naturally think of my relationship with my mother. Whenever I need help, my mother is always there for me. She often tells me that I can be anyone I want, as long as I’m confident of myself. She sees my talent and pushes me to do the best I possibly can. As I was growing up, we were often on the move. I had to admit that moving so often made me feel lonely. But my mother did everything she could to help me feel happy. In fact, so much traveling was really a good thing because it made us close. I respect my mother so much as she never treats me as a child, but as an equal. She gives me the freedom to make mistakes and to learn from them all. Unlike friendships that can fade or break, I know I’ll always be connected to my mother no matter what I face. She is not just a role model, but someone I love.
