My favorite Chinese festival is the Dragon Boat Festival. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. It’s a day to remember Qu Yuan, a great poet.
On this day people usually eat zongzi and hold dragon boat races. They also drink realgar wine, hang Chinese mugwort(艾草) around the doors and carry a spice bag around with them.
What makes the festival special for me is the dragon boat race. The members of the dragon boat team have such great team spirit — everybody tries their best to win the race. It is very exciting and interesting. So my favorite Chinese festival is the Dragon Boat Festival.

As a famous poem saying“Rains fall heavily as Qingming comes，and passers by with lowered spirits go.” This scene takes place on Qingming Festival. It is a traditional Chinese festival with a long history .It began in the Zhou Dynasty. This year，it falls on April 5th.
On this day，people often make Qingtuan. Families bring flowers，food and wine to the grave sites (墓地) of their ancestors. They place them in front of the graves .After that, they sweep the tombs and cherish (怀念) the memories of their dead family members.
Qingming Festival is a good time for family members to get together and do outdoor activities. This tradition not only gives us a chance to show respect to our ancestors ,but also show that we miss our family members who have passed away . More importantly , it shows that family values are an important part of Chinese culture.
