1. Oliver was awake at midnight. Oliver半夜醒着。
awake adj. 醒着的
在句中作表语，可与be动词或stay等动词连用。
e.g. Jane, is your sister awake or asleep
Jane, 你妹妹是醒着还是睡着了？
wake v. 醒来；叫醒
wake up 醒，叫醒
e.g. Keep your voice down! Try not to wake the baby up.
小声点！尽量不要吵醒婴儿。
2. Suddenly, a door appeared in the wall.

appear v. （尤指突然） 出现，呈现
