(1 )show sb. around( ...) 带领某人参观(..)
show 用作及物动词,意为“带领，引领”。
eg: Come on. I'll show you the way.来吧,我给你带路。
①让我带领你参观我们的学校吧。
②我可以带你四处看看。
Let me show you around our school.
I can show you around.
(2)around ①[副词]到处,四处常用于动词后。
相当于here and there/ everywhere。
There are no buses or trains here, so can be difficult to get around without car.
这里没有公共汽车和火车,所以没有小汽车很难到处转转。
around的常见短语：
turn around 转身；转弯 look around 环顾四周
walk around 四处走走 run around 到处跑
②[副词]大约
用在数字之前,与about 同义。
He gets up around six every day.他每天大约 6 点起床。
③[介词]在……周围;在……附近
There are many trees around our school.
我们学校周围有许多树。
There is a post office around my school.

and：
连接两个或多个并列的名词、代词、形容词、动词等。
I like reading and writing. 我喜欢阅读和写作。
连接两个并列的句子，表示顺承或递进关系
He got up early and caught the first bus.
他早起并且赶上了第一班公交车。
连词 and、or、but
or：
连接两个或多个供选择的事物。
Do you want tea or coffee 你想要茶还是咖啡？
You can choose the red one or the blue one.你可以选择红色的那个或者蓝色的那个。
He likes to sing or dance in his free time.
他喜欢在空闲时间唱歌或者跳舞。
连词 and、or、but
but：
连接两个意义相反或相对的句子、短语或单词。
He is rich but not happy. 他很富有但不快乐。
I want to go to the party, but I have too much work to do.我想去参加派对，但我有太多工作要做。
She studied hard, but she still failed the exam.她学习很努力，但还是考试不及格。
