1. They can accurately use the present simple tense to express their own and others' hobbies, like “She plays the piano every Sunday.” and “We often read books after school.” Students will understand the main ideas and details of the text about hobbies, and be able to extract important information from the reading materials. 2. Ability Objectives Develop students' comprehensive language skills, including listening, speaking, reading and writing. They can listen to conversations about hobbies and catch key information, express their own hobbies and related ideas fluently in speaking, understand reading materials about hobbies, and write a short passage to introduce their hobbies with correct grammar and rich details. Through group discussions and presentations, improve students' teamwork and communication skills. They can actively participate in group activities, contribute their own ideas, listen to others' opinions, and jointly complete group tasks. Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes) Activity: Show some word cards with key vocabulary about hobbies on the PPT, such as “hobby, interest, collect, play, enjoy, benefit”. First, read the words aloud and ask students to repeat after the teacher. Then, divide students into pairs. One student randomly picks a word card and uses actions or simple descriptions to let the partner guess the word.
