【单元话题分析】
本单元的核心话题为“学习方法与语言学习”，写作围绕“如何成为优秀学习者”展开。在写作时，需熟练运用“by + 动名词”结构描述学习方式（如 by studying with a group, by listening to tapes），同时结合本单元所学的语言学习相关经历、问题与解决策略，用一般现在时介绍日常学习方法，用一般过去时叙述过往学习经历，用情态动词（can, should, may）给出建议，使内容逻辑清晰、贴近学习实际。

写作练习
Dear Tom,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with English. Don’t feel discouraged—I faced similar problems last year, and I’m sure you can improve with right methods.
For memorizing words, you can make word cards with English words on one side and Chinese meanings on the other. Review them for 10 minutes every morning—this helps a lot. For listening, try listening to short English tapes. Don’t worry if you can’t understand all at first; listen to one paragraph many times until you get the main idea. You can also take notes of key words while listening.
Remember, learning English takes time. Be patient with yourself, and keep practicing. I believe you’ll do better soon!
