Sally didn’t like her birthmark. She felt people secretly looking at her face in public. She always covered it with her hair.
Maddie, a new student, called Sally’s birthmark “a red rose” and thought it was beautiful. Maddie’s words made Sally felt better about her birthmark.
Sally learnt to accept herself. She now knows that everyone has something special and different.
