Do you like boiled eggs Scientists found a new way to cook them perfectly! This method is called “periodic cooking”. It makes eggs soft and creamy, perfect for spreading on toast!
The egg has a yolk(蛋黄) and an egg white. They require (需要) two cooking temperatures, about 85℃ for the egg white and about 65℃ for the yolk. This makes it hard to cook both parts perfectly.
Scientists used a computer to find the best way to cook both parts together. They found that moving the egg between hot water(100℃) and warm water(30℃) works best, You need to move the egg every two minutes for a total of 32 minutes.
This method keeps the yolk soft and creamy, while the egg white is fully cooked. The yolk is so creamy that you can spread it on bread like butter! It also helps keep more nutrients(营养物质) in the egg.
If you want to try it, here’s how: Boil water on the stove and prepare a bowl of warm water (30℃). Put the egg in boiling water for two minutes, then move it to the warm water for two minutes. Repeat this eight times.
You can also make it faster by using warmer water (40℃) and doing fewer cycles. Just remember to check the temperature with a thermometer(温度计) to keep it safe.
This method takes time, but it’s a fun way to cook eggs and enjoy a healthier breakfast.
