How much do you know about it
Table tennis (we also call it "ping-pong") is played on a small table. There are 2 or 4 players (1 vs 1, or 2 vs 2).
In the Olympic Games (奥运会), Chinese players almost always win gold medals (金牌)! For example:
Men’s team (男队): They won gold 9 times!
Women’s team (女队): They won gold 8 times!
Famous players like Ma Long (马龙) and Ding Ning (丁宁) are like "super stars" of ping-pong.
Every year, there is a Table Tennis World Championship (世界乒乓球锦标赛). Chinese players win most of the top prizes here too. We have more than 100 gold medals in this competition!
Why is China so good
Because many Chinese kids love playing ping-pong. We practice hard, and we have great coaches (教练) to help us. Ping-pong is like a "national sport" (国球) in China—almost everyone can play a little!
