弱读现象
英语中有些单词在句子里不重读,发音变得轻而短,这就是弱读。比如 “want to” 常弱读为 “wanna” (/ wɑ n / ),“got to” 常弱读为 “gotta”(/ ɡ t / )。
连读现象
连读指在连贯地说话或朗读时,在同一个意群(即短语或从句)中,如果相邻的两个词前者以辅音音素结尾,后者以元音音素开头,就要自然地将辅音和元音相拼,构成一个音节。在 “I am going to” 中,“going” 的读音是 / ɡ / ,结尾是辅音 / / ,“to” 弱读为 /d / ,以元音 / / 开头, 二者连读起来就会产生听起来像 “I am going da” 的效果 。
