I.语言点精讲
1. Plan for Yourself (课本P51) 为你自己计划
yourself 是 you 的反身代词,指“你自己”。当一个句子的主语和宾语一致时,宾语一般要用反身代词。反身代词也可以放在主语后表示强调。by oneself 意为“独自; 独立地”。
You cut yourself. 你割伤自己了。
You made the model plane completely by yourself.
你完全靠自己制作了这架飞机模型。
2. Just make sure you try your best at school. (课本P53, 2a) 就确保你在学校里尽最大努力。
make sure 表示“确保; 保证”, 常用于祈使句;
make sure接宾语从句时,从句不使用将来时。常见用法如
make sure of (doing) sth. 确保(做)某事
make sure + (that) 从句 确保……
Make sure of turning off the light before you leave. 你离开前一定要关灯。
Make sure the door is locked when you leave the room.当你离开房间时,确保门已锁好。

be sure 的相关短语和句型:
①主语为人: be sure of/about sth. 对某事有把握
be sure of/about...意为“确信······;对······有把握”,其后接名词、代词或动词 -ing 形式,若后面接反身代词,则只能用 be sure of,即 be sure of oneself,意为“对自己有信心”。
I am sure of my answer to this math problem. 我对这道数学题的答案有把握。
She is sure about winning the English speech contest.她对赢得英语演讲比赛有把握。
② 主语为人或物: be sure to do sth. 一定要/会做某事
be sure to do sth. 意为“务必/切记要做某事”常用于祈使句,表示说话人向对方提出要求。be sure to do sth. 还意为“一定做某事”,是说话人对主语的推测,主语可以是人也可以是物。
eg: Be sure to give it back to me on time. 务必按时将它还给我。

③“be sure+(that) 从句”意为“确信······对······有把握”,主语必须是人。
主语为人: be sure ( that)...
He is sure that he can finish his homework before dinner.
他确定能在晚饭前完成作业。
We are sure that our team will win the game.
我们肯定我们队会赢得比赛。
Whether or not we′re successful, we can be sure that we did our best.
不管成功与否,我们确定尽了最大努力。
3. Just make sure you try your best a school.只要确保你在学校尽自己最大的努力。
1)try one’s best 尽最大努力 相当于do one’s best。
try / do one’s best to do sth. 尽某人最大努力做某事
e.g. Your dream will come true if you try your best.
如果你尽最大努力,你的梦想就会实

(1)表示方式、手段:意为“通过;靠;用”,后接名词、代词或动名词,
表示做某事的方式或手段。
I learn English by listening to English songs.我通过听英语歌曲来学习英语。
(2)表示时间:意为“在……之前;不迟于”。
We must finish the work by Friday.我们必须在星期五之前完成这项工作。
(3)表示地点:意为“在……旁边;靠近”。
The book is by the lamp.书在灯的旁边。
(4)用于被动语态:引出动作的执行者。
The window was broken by Tom.窗户是被汤姆打破的。
(1)We can improve our writing skills by writing diaries every day.
(2)The project should be completed by the end of this month.
(3)The small boat is floating by the bridge (在桥旁边).
(4)People grow rice in the south of China. (同义句转换)

be good at意为“擅长;在……方面做得好”。后接名词、代词或动名词。
Eg:She is good at singing.(她擅长唱歌。)
其同义词组有do well in

keep on doing sth 继续做;反复做。固定短语,强调不间断地持续进行某个动作。
eg: Keep on studying hard, and you’ll achieve good grades.

老师反复提醒学生们按时交作业 。
【拓展】keep 的其他常见用法:
keep (sb.) doing sth. (让某人)一直做某事
eg: My mother kept me waiting for her until she came back.
妈妈让我等她直到她回来。
keep sb. from doing sth. 阻止某人做某事
eg: All the parents keep their children from playing in the river.
所有的父母都不让他们的孩子在河里玩耍。
keep sb./sth. +adj. 使某人/某物保持某种状态
eg: Keep your classroom clean every day, please. 请每天让你们的教室保持干净。
8.Not everyone knows what they want to be. 并非所有人都知道自己想成为什么样的人。
当否定词(not)与表示 “全体” 意义的词(如 everyone, all, both, everything 等)连用时,否定范围是 “整体中的一部分”,而非完全否定全体。
eg:I don’t like all these songs. 这些歌我并非都喜欢。None of the birds can fly. 所有鸟都不会飞
【注意】
完全否定:用 “no one, none, neither, nothing” 等词,彻底否定全体。
eg:I like none of these songs. 这些歌我全都不喜欢。
9.I hope so! 我希望如此!
表示肯定对方的意见或观点。其否定形式为“I hope not!”。
— I’m sure (afraid that) our team will win (lose) the game.
