During the two sessions(两会) in 2022, more e - waste recycling factories were called for in China.
● What is e - waste
1 It includes computers, TVs, batteries(电池), mobile phones, chargers and even kitchen equipment.
● What is the influence of e - waste
2 This makes e - waste the world's fastest - growing domestic waste. The report also found that only 17.4% of the world's waste was collected and recycled in 2019. This means that gold, silver and other high - value materials were mostly burned or thrown instead of being reused.
3
Waste can also harm the environment and people's health. For example, one mobile phone bat-tery can pollute 600,000 liters of water.
● 4
Technology companies are looking for different ways to solve the problem. For example, a US company built a robot called Daisy to take mobile phones apart. 5 With Daisy, valu-able materials can be pulled out more easily than before.
There are steps we can all take to reduce our e - waste. Here are my tips:
Instead of buying a new product, try to repair your computer or smart phone first.
Search for recycling organizations and give your old electronics away to them.
Remove any batteries because they need to be recycled separately.
A. According to a report, the world's e - waste would reach 74.7 million tons by 2030.
B. E - waste is almost everywhere.
C. What can we do to reduce it
D. E - waste is short for electronic waste, which refers to old technology you are no longer use.

B. 完成图表 根据短文内容,完成图表中所缺信息。(共5小题;每小题1分,计5分)
How do we know the time A clock, a watch or a mobile phone can help us. However, many years ago there were no clocks and knowing the time was not so easy. Over the centuries people have developed different ways of timekeeping(计时).
About 5,500 years ago, the Egyptians invented the sun clock. This was the tall stone building. Its shadow(影子) showed the movement of the sun. So people were able to know midday(正午). The Egyptians made a sundial about 3,500 years ago. It was smaller than the sun clock, and could let people know the time for half a day. On cloudy days or at night, it was impossible to tell the time with the sun clock or a sundial. Water clocks were the first clocks not to use the sun. The idea is simple. Water flows from one bottle to another. When the water reaches a certain level(高度), it shows the hours. The Egyptians used the water clocks about 3,400 years ago. These clocks were popular in the Middle East and China. But people still couldn't know the exact time.
In the 13th century, the mechanical clock was invented. This was more exact, but it was expen-sive to make one. Over the next few centuries, it was developed. For example, springs(发条) were added around 1500. This enabled people to get the exact time and allowed clocks to be smaller. In 1927, the first quartz(石英) watch was developed. Clocks became cheaper to make. It's also cheaper for common people to own a clock. People began to depend on them more and more to run busi-ness.
nesses, markets, and so on. More recently, in 1956, came the digital clock. And nowadays satellites send our mobile phones the time to the exact second.
Ways of timekeeping are always changing but some things never change. Many of us still have trouble getting out of bed on time and not being late for school or work.
The 1 of timekeeping in history
