Chinese people usually eat three meals a day. The breakfast time in China is usually from 7 to 9 o’clock. Most students have class at 8 o’clock. So their breakfast time is around 7 o’clock. Many Chinese office workers hurry to have breakfast. Some of them even don’t have time to sit down and enjoy breakfast.
Lunch time is usually around 12 o’clock. Most Chinese have a quick but healthy lunch so they can have a time to take a short rest. The menu for lunch is usually noodles or rice with some vegetables and meat. Most people don’t go far or to big restaurants for lunch. They usually eat at school or the company dining hall or order take out food and some take their lunch boxes from home.
Dinner is the most important meal for many Chinese because they enjoy it with their family. The dishes are usually soup, meat, vegetables and rice. People usually have dinner between six pm and eight pm for restaurants. The busy time is from seven pm to eight pm. In snack streets there are snacks like noodles or dumplings till late at night. There is one interesting thing in China. People don’t leave the restaurant very quickly after dinner. They usually spend some time talking with each other or playing games.

The Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival, on the 5th day of the fifth lunar month, is a day full of excitement. People hold thrilling dragon boat races. Some racers row the boat in the water and other team members beat loud drums to create a lively and competitive atmosphere. We also eat tasty zongzi, a traditional food made of sticky rice. I love this festival not just for the fun races and the delicious zongzi my family makes, but also because it teaches me about history and the story of the great and famous poet Qu Yuan. It is both an enjoyable and educational experience for me.
