I knew the hill and the forests around my house very well because I had kept exploring them since I was a child. So, it was a 1 when I found myself lost there.
One boring, cold afternoon in 2 , I had a sudden idea to hike the hill with my friends. While making our way up the hill, my friends stopped 3 to watch unknown plants and to take photos of unusual insects. These really brought 4 great fun. But I was just taking in fresh air and enjoying the nice views.
As the sun began to set down, we continued to move 5 . But shortly after that, we realized we were getting 6 —our legs feeling heavy and our energy running out. We were all clear that we could no longer go forward, so we decided to 7 . Instead of taking the same way back, I chose to walk down the other side of the hill, 8 I knew not far away lay the stream that would guide us to the road. But as the hilly land slowly became flat (平坦), I began to 9 : Where was the stream Were we not on the right path

That winter’s day taught me a valuable lesson-I depend too much on 13 . If my phone had worked then, I might have directly followed the GPS (全球定位系统). But I should remember to depend on life 14 and the environment around us. The true direction comes from our ability to 15 the world around us. Maps on screens may guide our steps, but it is better to trust our own instincts (本能).

What’s FOREST What is FOREST for Answers like nature’s green treasure, the home of wildlife may appear in our minds, while in the Grimms’ stories, a forest is often 1 as the home of evil witches, talking animals and other magical beings.
Once upon a time, a devil living 2 happened to meet a young soldier, who behaved himself 3 in the war, but when peace was made, he had nowhere to go and didn’t know how to make a living for himself. The devil knew what the solider needed. 4 , the devil wanted to test his courage. Here was the 5 the devil made with him. The solider could live a wealthy life, but he would be Bearskin without bathing, haircutting or cutting nails for 6 years. And if he died during the time, the devil would take the soldier’s soul. During seven years’ period, people were 7 to the bearskin for his generosity—wherever he went, he helped the poor and people in trouble. At the end of the story, the devil kept the 8 and the bearskin harvested his love.
At my young age, what lesson I got from the story is that small acts of kindness go a long, long, long way. 9 you are kind, evil spirits will keep off you. Yet, as I grew up, my perspective (视角) on this book 10 . What came to my mind is the meaning of forest. In the Grimms’ story, magical power is from forest.
Forests which 11 the unknown, mysteries, dangers… are used 12 in many classic novels like Alice in Wonderland, the Wonderful Wizard of OZ, the Secret Garden…. So why not enjoy a 13 time with nice reads and the smell of nature in forests
A good 14 is tasked with carrying out activities to encourage a culture of reading and spread its values in all ages.

Just for today I will be happy. I quite agree with Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest presidents in the US. He said, “Most people can be as happy as they hope to be in their mind.” 1 is from inside. It is not a matter of outside.
Just for today I will take care of my 2 . I will exercise it, care for it, nourish (滋养) it, so that it will be a 3 machine for my building. I plan to run for an hour every morning, and play basketball three or four times a week. 4 it is possible, I will join a basketball team and train myself there too.
Just for today I will try to strengthen (加强) my 5 . I will learn something useful and meaningful. I will keep reading as part of myself. I will choose 6 to read, especially books that need thought as often as I can, because reading is like a key that can 7 my mind to the outside world. It nourishes me deeply and 8 me a full man.
Just for today I will have a plan. I will write down 9 I expect to do every day first. And then I will begin 10 a very small thing, such as getting up on time. I may not follow it 11 the same as I have expected, but I am sure that I will have it. 12 , a good plan is half done.
Just for today I will be 13 enough to enjoy myself. I will not be afraid to be happy, and to enjoy what is beautiful. I will not be afraid to love and to believe that those I love also love me.
