A lively World Earth Day-themed international flea market (跳蚤市场) took place in Sihai Park on 19 May 2024. Led by Nanshan District, Shenzhen, the event saw nearly 100 students from both public and international schools come together to do something for the environment by giving new life to old things.
There were 30 stalls (摊位) and around 300 people taking part in it. The flea market was a springtime celebration and people were full of energy. It was a combination of fun and environmental protection. Students from different cultures could enjoy themselves when doing something green.
In the event, students wrote down their names on the activity board, and then put their amazing artworks made from recycled materials (可回收材料) at their stalls to show their determination to protect the environment.
