应用文范文
Last Sunday, our school held a cross-country running race. All the students in senior one took
part in it. The purpose of this race was to inspire us students to pay more attention to physical
exercise.
At 7 a.m., we started at the school gate. And then we ran all the way to the foot of the
Nanshan Mountain. On the way, although some students fell behind, they kept running until the
finishing line. What’s more, some students helped tired classmates keep going. Finally,10 students
won awards.
Through this activity, we realized that building up our bodies is of great importance, and we
also learned more about “Persistence leads to success”.
读后续写范文
Jack rushed into his bedroom and locked the door heavily. He lay on the bed, huddling
himself in the quilt. What he really wanted to do was to cut himself off from the whole world,
especially from his mother. He couldn't figure out why his mother didn't understand him and why
she forced him to do something he didn't like. Slowly, he fell asleep while thinking.Suddenly he
was awakened, hearing his mother's voice outside the door, which was filled with apologies and
tenderness. His mother promised him that she would respect his interests in the future.
When Jack heard his mother’s words, regretful tears rolled down his face. He realized that
everything his mother did was totally for the sake of his future and what he said hurt his mother's
heart hard. It occurred to him that he had never showed his gratitude to his mother. He couldn’t
wait to open the door and said thank you to his mother, who was standing in the doorway. He also
promised his mother that he would study hard in practical subjects. Finally, misunderstanding
cleared, they hugged each other tightly with a joyful smile.

M: Welcome back, Janet. The results of your X-rays came in today. They are in a bit of trouble.
W: What's the matter Will I be OK
M: Sorry, I mean that the images are no good. We'll redo the X-ray today.
(Text 2)
M: Did you go to the new pizza restaurant on Bold Street
W: Yes. It isn't bad. You get a free soft drink and a free salad with every meal — and they are
amazing! Plus, the pizzas were pretty good for the price, but I've had better ones.
(Text 3)
M: I think we should put off the hiking trip.
W: Because of the weather forecast I just checked; it's going to pour all weekend.
M: Exactly. Let's aim for next weekend instead.
W: Sure, I'll let the others know about it.
(Text 4)
M: Can you meet me at the theater at seven thirty
W: No, I'm making dinner with my family then.
M: OK. Will you be done eating by eight
{#{QQABDYSEogAgQJIAAQgCEwGgCgIYkBECAAgGQAAcIAIBQRNABAA=}#}
W: Let's make it nine. I have to help with the dishes after we eat.
(Text 5)
W: I can get tickets for the baseball game tomorrow.
M: You can That's amazing. I have heard the tickets are hard to come by. It's supposed to be a big
game.
W: Yeah, it will also be a close game. I'm starting to feel nervous for the players already.
(Text 6)
M: You haven't seen the new TV talent show, have you
W: I saw the first program, but I didn't really enjoy it. ①I decided to watch the new cookery
program instead last night.
M: That was so boring!
W: How do you know You didn't see it.
M: I've seen the reviews and they all said the same thing.
W: Well, I liked it. ②The reviews said that the wild animal documentary last week was terrible
and they were wrong about that, too!
(Text 7)
W: How was your interview going
M: You know what,③I had coffee all down my suit and the interview started in ten minutes!
W: Oh no! That's awful. So what did you do
M: Well, what could I do I just had to go in.
W: Not a great first impression.
M: I know. But④I just explained what had happened and they totally understood. It kind of broke
the ice, making the atmosphere quite relaxing and it all went quickly after that.
(Text 8)
W: Right next to me is the winner of the 10th Extreme Bicycle Race. So, Alex, how does first
place feel
M: Much better than second place, that's for sure!
W: And this is your first time winning in the ten years of competing, right
M: Actually, this is my first time winning in the Extreme Bicycle Race, but I've also won another
two races: a local race back home in Ireland and a Road Bicycle Race in Canada.
W: Oh yes, Canada. That was about five years ago.
M: Four to be exact.
W: So, what is your next step in your cycling career The Tour de France
M: Well, I'm thinking of taking a break from competitions. I hope to create a cycling club where I
can teach young cyclists everything I know.
(Text 9)
W: Excuse me! I'm waiting for the number 87 bus that goes by Main Street. Is this the right stop
M: Yes, it is. I'm just checking the schedule on my phone and it says it should be here right now.
But it came by five minutes ago. I guess it came early. The next one comes in half an hour.
W: Oh, I'm going to be late for a conference. I would have driven, but my car is at the repair
shop.
M: That's too bad. Are you living around here
W: Yes, I've been here for one month! I used to live downtown, but I prefer it out here, where the
environment is much better.
M: I know what you mean. And what I like most about this area is the low cost of living. The only
problem is that going to the city center takes a lot longer.
W: Oh, I'm really late. Maybe I should just take a taxi. Are you going to Main Street as well Do
you want to share a taxi there
M: That would be great, actually. I'm meeting a friend for lunch and I don't want to keep him
waiting.
(Text 10)
M: Good morning, everyone. The project today is for you to interview one of the college
professors. You'll write an article about the person you talk to. Each group of three students will be
given a different person. These are the photos of last year's end-of-year dinner. The dinner was to
honor Professor Wyatt on his retirement. He's the large man seated at the head of the table. To his
left is Mrs. Lehman, head of the Mathematics Department. The lady with the blue skirt is
Professor Linda Spark, but she doesn't wear eyeglasses any more. In this picture she has red hair

but this year is black. Your groups are placed on the board at the back of the class. With each
group is the name of a person you're given to interview. Please remember the interview must not
take more than 30 minutes. Plan your questions beforehand to save time. This is a class in
journalism. You'll have to practice meeting a closing date. You'll be great. I'm certain. Now go to
work!
