Have you ever hugged (拥抱) a tree Do you know hugging trees is good for us
Recently, many people have shared their stories of hugging trees online. Although it sounds unusual, there is a science behind the act of tree-hugging. A study shows that the act of tree-hugging can make the oxytocin (催产素) higher. The higher the level of oxytocin is, the calmer and happier you may be. Hugging trees for only 21 seconds can help your oxytocin increase.
A month ago, I hugged an orange tree in a nearby park for the first time. I put my arms around the tree and rested my face on it. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. Hugging trees is different from hugging people or animals. It gives me a chance to really get close to the tree. I can smell it, touch it and listen to the sound of the leaves. The steadiness (稳固) of the tree made me feel safe. There are many reasons why hugging trees is fun. First, it is free and easy. Second, it is a great way to connect with nature. We will enjoy nature more! Third, it can help us feel better about ourselves. Tree-hugging is helpful to us, but it's important to keep in mind that we shouldn't hurt nature while doing it. Many small animals live on the tree and they are too small to be seen. You may be careful when hugging trees-just like how you hug a friend!
