We feel angry or guilty about the things we did or did not achieve, about the things we cannot have, and many other things. It seems that everyone carries their own bad emotions(情绪). But neither guilt nor anger can help us. Over time, they can be heavy weights on our shoulders.
These bad emotions don’t do anything good for us at all. So you might ask yourself—Is it possible to put down this heavy burden(负担) and give yourself a break It is quite possible. Start by actually looking at your feelings. How do they get inside of us Why do we carry them for so long instead of putting them down Can we live without them
By thinking about our bad emotions, we can find healthy ways to deal with them. Unhealthy behaviors are not the way to do this. They provide no relief. Instead, there are better ways to handle them. One of the best ways is forgiveness(原谅）.
Forgiveness is a powerful tool. We should forgive ourselves first. We shouldn’t keep bad emotions inside. We must also forgive others who have made us guilty or angry. This is not always easy. But when we learn to forgive ourselves, it becomes easier to forgive others as well.
There is nothing good about carrying years of emotional burdens. By forgiving ourselves and others, we can abandon our burdens and feel better about ourselves. When visiting Beijing, the Palace Museum is a must-see for many people.
Last year, the museum received 14.2 million visitors, which is twice the number of visitors in 2002. This year it is expected to increase by 10 pared with other popular museums around the world, the number of visitors at the Palace Museum is very high. Last year the Louvre(罗浮宫) in Paris welcomed 8.8 million visitors and the British Museum in London received 5.8 million.
A large number of visitors can bring a lot of money from ticket sales. But there are also worries that people will do damage(破坏) to relics(文物) and old buildings.
To solve the problem, some people suggested taking cultural objects out of the Palace Museum. In this way, visitors coming for ancient buildings and cultural objects will go to different places. “It is a sign of progress. Letting more people see these treasures is more important than keeping them in their original(原始的) place,” said Song Xiangguang, a professor at Peking University.
However, Shan Jixiang, director of the Palace Museum, doesn’t agree on this idea. He thinks that the most important thing in protecting the Palace Museum is to keep it complete. “The 1.8 million cultural relics and the historical buildings are two key parts of the museum. They can’t be separated.” he said.
Shan said that they are planning to increase the space that is open to the public. This will not only feed visitors’ curiosity, but also spread them out so they are not putting too much pressure on one area.
Shan also wanted to set up an appointment system. “ If visitors make an appointment before they come, we can make better and different visiting routes for them.” Shan said.

Imagine having everything you need — hospitals, shops, parks — just a few steps from your home. This is the 15-minute city. Here, people get all the services (服务) within 15 minutes from home. This social model is being developed in cities around the world, from Paris to Moscow. It could make people much healthier and build stronger relationships with neighbors.
Carlos Moreno is a strong supporter of the 15-minute city. He was inspired (激励) by the need to fight against climate change. In a 15-minute city, car travel is not the best choice. People should build more footpaths and bike roads. Walking or biking across the city is of great help in diminishing CO2 emissions (排放).
Anne Hidalgo, the mayor (市长) of Paris, plans to develop 15-minute communities all over France. That means the number of parking spaces will be reduced and more bike roads will be created on every street of the city.
This type of design is good for the planet. Joe Zehnder is the planner of the city Moscow. He is developing “15-minute neighborhoods”. “Having shops close to home makes people able to eat healthier food and live a better life.” Joe Zehnder says.
Syra Madad is also an important person behind the 15-minute city plan. He wants to make these places inclusive (包容广阔的). As a neighborhood becomes more convenient (便利的), housing costs may increase.
