Soldiers in war often cannot hear each other, so they use body languages 3 messages to each other. Soldiers from different countries use similar body languages to communicate with each other when they do not 5 the same language.
Body languages are useful in music too. For example, when a classical concert 6 , musicians follow the directions of the conductor (指挥家). He or she will lead the musicians 7 his body languages. These special "languages" tell the musicians when to play, and when to stop. They also tell when the music should be loud or soft, and fast or slow. Of course, the musicians benefit right tips from these body language and play well together. In this way, the 8 is able to feel free to enjoy fantastic music.

三、阅读理解 (共10小题,计20分)
A
When people talk to each other, write letters, send text messages or make phone calls, words of the speaker form or the written form can send any message they want to pass on.
But besides words, do you know any other ways you can use to communicate with people Rich expressions on your face can be one of them. A smile on your face shows that you are happy. Tears in your eyes tell others that you are sad or excited. Body languages can do the same job. When you put your hand up in class, the teacher knows that you want to say something or you may have some questions to ask. You shake your head from side to side and people know you are saying "no" or refuse others' requirements. When you nod, people will understand that you are saying "yes" or agree with other's opinions or ideas.
Other forms can also carry different messages. For example, a sign at the bus stop can tell passengers which bus to take. The flag language by soldiers can pass different orders. Sound from the school bell tells the students and the teachers when to begin or end a class.
A photographer can use his photos to tell others about what he thinks of the world around him. Music and films also convey the feelings and ideas of the musicians and the directors. So next time when you see a piece of art or listen to some music, take it as communication with its creator (创作者) and try to get the meaning behind it.

Holding conversations may be comfortable to other people Would you like to be helpful. Holding talking may not seem like a skill, but talking to new people makes many people nervous. Here are some ways to make conversations more fun and less awkward(尴尬的).
Body language
As strange as it may seem, much communication happens without any words. The way you stand and act tells people a lot about you. When you're talking with someone, stand up straight and look them in the eye. This shows that you're confident. And if you're nervous, acting like you're confident can help you feel more confident. When you're listening, look at the other person. Lean forward to show that you're interested in what they're saying.
Back and forth
A good conversation is not a speech, which means that both people need to participate. If you keep talking for a while, pause to give the other person time to speak. If they don't say anything, try asking them a question. Questions can also help if you're struggling(挣扎) to think of something to say. And remember to try to come up with open - ended questions when you ask questions. The become questions where the answer is more than just "yes" or "no".
Don't fear silence
Don't feel worried or frightened if the conversation has quiet moments. Think of them as opportunities to change the subject to something you're interested in. You could also comment(评论) on something you've done recently. Or once again, you can ask a question about the other person.
So if you are shy, be brave, ask a question and start a conversation. And you will improve on holding conversations with time.
