Exploring amazing places: traveling or reading
Some people think traveling lets them truly explore amazing places. Others believe that reading works well. As for me, I think traveling is a better way.
When I travel, I can see the landscapes with my own eyes. Last year, I visited a mountain village. I walked on the terraces, felt the soft wind on my face, and breathed fresh air. Books can't give me these experiences. I talked with the locals and learned about their daily lives and culture. These experiences created wonderful and unforgettable memories.
Traveling gives me real experiences. I don't just read about amazing places; I am right there. Even small things, like watching fireworks in a town square, make me feel alive. For me, traveling is a way to truly explore the world.
Exploring amazing places: traveling or reading
Some people think traveling lets them truly explore amazing places. Others believe that reading works well. Personally, I prefer to explore the world by reading.
Reading helps me discover amazing places without leaving home. It saves time and money, and I can easily learn details about places like small mountain villages and faraway forests. From books, I can learn about the rich culture of different areas and even stories behind old towers. But I might miss these deep details on a quick trip.
When I read, I picture the view of the countryside or feel the warmth of sunny beaches. It opens my mind. Though traveling is great, reading lets me explore many more places. I love this way of seeing the world.福建省漳州地区漳州五中第二次月考测试

World Laughter Day is a special day when people all over the world come together to laugh. Although this day sounds a little silly (傻的), there is a serious(严肃的)reason behind it.
This day happens on the first Sunday of May every year. It was started by Dr. Madan Kataria, a doctor from India,in 1998. Its goal is to achieve health, happiness and world peace through laughter.
Dr. Kataria encouraged people to join laughter groups where they could meet up and laugh in public. More than12,000 people came to the first event, and since then it has caught on around the world.
Nobody knows for sure why people laugh, but all human cultures have laughter. Even babies laugh before they can talk!
Dr. Kataria found that when people fake(假装) laughing, it often causes real laughter.“Our body doesn't know the difference between acting happy and being really happy, so we can fake laughing until the laughter comes
naturally," he said.
On World Laughter Day, lots of people meet up in parks or squares to laugh together. They do Laughter Yoga, a kind of exercise that mixes(结合)laughing and deep breathing. There may also be music and dancing. They even have competitions to see who has the best laugh.

The human brain (大脑) is very small and light (only 2% of our total body weight), but it needs about 20% of the oxygen that our body takes in. We can't think well if our brain isn't getting enough oxygen, so always make sure there is enough oxygen in the air when you need to learn or remember something!
No one can remember everything, but everyone can learn how to improve their memory▲.None of them can make your memory100% perfect, but all of them are helpful.
·When you want to remember something, tell someone about it. This way the new information becomes easier to remember. Later on, just thinking about the conversation will remind (提醒) you of the thing.
.Our memory works well when we are asleep. If you want to remember something, try going to sleep right after learning it.
.If you have to remember something big, break it down into smaller parts. It's easier to remember 198756430387 if you break it into four smaller parts:198-756-430-387.
·If you want to remember a piece of information but you can't, don't get angry. Just relax and try again later.
.One of the best ways of remembering things is to make “pictures”in your mind-and it's fun too! Scientists say that our brain works a lot in pictures. So sometimes, if we want to remember new information, it helps to make a picture story. For example, if you want to buy many things including bread, flowers, roller skates(旱冰鞋),a notebook, and oil, just make a crazy story with them as you like:
Lisa was very hungry and was looking for some BREAD. She opened the fridge, and saw it was full of FLOWERS. She decided to put on her ROLLER SKATES
and leave the house. But she tripped over(绊倒)her NOTEBOOK and fell on a bottle of OIL ...
Let yourself be surprised by your memory!

B. how important it is to be creative
C. how pictures help improve memory
D. why we should learn to draw pictures
( )65. What's the structure of the text (①=Paragraph 1, ...)
